I've got a few items sitting in the SB warehouse. A couple of them have crossed the 30 day storage period last week. I plan to ship via EMS Wuhan but should I do it now or should I wait for some sort of shipping coupons to become available? If so, when do you think such coupons will be available?

 

So Wuhan was cheaper when they weren't normal? I thought shipping rates were more expensive during the abnormal pandemic period.

 

Hey, so I went on looking for prices on DX9's Capone and I saw that some places had prices of 9999 yuan. Since I haven't been on TB for a while, has anything changed?

Wait for Golden Week. Its a huge retail holiday. Oct. 1st through the 7th. Superbuy will run promotions and every year there have been coupons. Especially if your shipping will cost over 700 yuan. They usually start their promotions the week prior the event. So if your persistent you can claim your coupon and ship with the discount prior to golden week.

EMS Wuhan was birthed in the pandemic, but it did have a price bump after it launched. Normal for me would be back to when I could ship things Equick for $20-$30 less than I am now with EMS Wuhan.

 

They generally do that as a way to stop orders without delisting the item (e.g. Unsure that they can secure orders), or there's some complicated T&Cs that they REALLY want you to read first before buying. So not an uncommon occurrence. Not sure about the status of Dx9 Capone specifically though, I don't collect that scale.

 

I shipped my bundle with EMS Wuhan cause it was the faster shipping and I haven’t had any movement in almost 2 weeks

Not sure if this is your case, but some of my shipments were returned for "safety" reasons, and my forwader sent them again using the some Switzerland courier (I noted immediately the different country code (CH from CN) and asked if it was right, they said it was an that I need to wait some 20 days for updates. Things happened exactly the way they said - in practices they send the packages to Switzerland, and they they arrive there, the tracking begun to work.

 

I am sorry to hear that. That is not abnormal, I have seen many cases which took more than 1 month to arrive. Unfortunately nothing you and SB can do, just have to wait. Maybe post your full tracking from 17track and we can take a look if you feel ok.

btw, I decided to ship last week rather than waiting later purely because of Golden week (10/1-1/7) holiday. Who knows what will happen to shipping after one week holiday.

 

I had found a video about this, but lost it. But its kind of a lottery with the shipments out of China. If your package hits the airport and there is no room on the flights its gets set aside. But they do not necesserilly ship your item the next day. By being put aside its no longer in the "norm" shipment process. Rather than interupting the normal flow they will ship your stuff at a later date when there is space, time, etc.. to do it.

My last EMS wuhan package took 30 days to reach the states. The current one took a week. I am assuming I got lucky and the flights had room. I expexct my next shipment that will go out in November will not be so lucky.

 

Just got an email this morning from Superbuy that shipping is taking longer than expected and that they haven’t seen any movement in my package. I just then checked the USPS tracking and the package is in NYC customs so things are moving in the right direction. Track17 still has no movement though

 

just shipped out my order via SAL with SB. didn't want to wait any longer haha
now the forever wait for the slow boat. EMS to canada is still quite pricey for heavier items not including how long canada post will take to sort it.  

 

Mine arrived this morning. Freaked me out cause it said it was dropped of with a person. This is the most expensive taobao order I ever shipped. Left work to check on it.

 

Anybody got the price for Fanstoys thomas ? I got indication of 920rmb.

 

I saw 1500rmb, 1688rmb, now 1200rmb...

 

I remembered the retail price is something like $125 in China, so it is more or less 850 with the current exchange rate. Hopefully I am right, lol
