I would imagine the kibble on the legs compacts further and doesn’t stick out.

Before images and descriptions of Hot Rod leaked I told myself I was contempt with the TR Deluxe. Now, I'm all in on the entire SS86 releases.

 

KUP

This figure is deluxe , so I expect it is not as great as Hot Rod or Scourge. But turns out He packs a big punch into my wallet.
This art is nearly as what you expect from the figure , and next is me trying to draw the figure in its actual proportion , color and articulation points , kibble position and parts position in vehicle mode.\


It's undeniably Kup in all his glory , from his wack shoulder position to his overall body! I vastly prefer his stance over Fanstoys Koot because he has right body chunk compare to FT's heroic proportion , and also the back kibble is minimum thanks to smart engineering! Not the cleanest but it doest the job perfectly imho.
His face will not be to everone taste, I know some might prefer a more angry and crankier facesculpt , but this is how I remember him from the movie. I do wish his face is a bit shorter tho.
I try to edit the head to be as close to the figure as possible



Again , Hasbro didn't skim any paintjob on this SS86 line because nearly every paint detailss are there!
I do find some decision is odd , the whole neck base is black plastic instead of light green like above picture , might get sometime to get used to.
He has light piping eye , so out of box might look quite dead , so I prefer to paint his eye skyblue with look more vivid.
He doesn't have the light green ab , it was unpainted.
Aside from that He looks splendid for a Deluxe figure.

ARTICULATION
He has every important articulation point
+ Balljointed neck
+ Full soft ratchet Shoulder movement.
+ Full soft ratchet elbow movement way pass 90 degree.
+ Waist swivel
+ Full thigh and crotch movement
+ 90 degree soft ratchet Knee bend
+ Ankle tilt

No wrist swivel. But he has no problem holding his blaster 2 hands.

*********IMPORTANCE************
His limbs can detach via 5mm pegs!!
what are those for ?? I don't know , time to speculate!



ACCESSORIES
+ 1 iconic blaster in light green plastic
+ 1 energon goodie , it has clear 5mm peg and a clear energon stick , I wish it was painted pink or purlple

TRANSFORMATION
the transformation is crazily intuitive!! It make Koot cry in embarassment. Not only so , the alt mode turn out so accurate even the color! which is like this artwork


Some genius engineering was involved , including a rotation structure in the shoulder piece, how the back of driving room fold behind his back and how the back of vehicle fold up on his leg. I don't know how to describe , so I might have to ask you to wait til the figure is available. Orr you can watch tonton lol.

Looking forward to the Hotrod video review, just to see the figure in motion.

 

Detachable limbs is an awesome reference and I can't wait to get Kup. I really like both of his previous Generations figures but this appears to blow both of them out of the water. I'll definitely be getting this.

Kup sounds absolutely fantastic, I'm definitely glad I didnt pick up the TR version. As for the 5mm peg detaching thing, i guess its to somehow recreate the scene where Hot Rod repairs him? Good to hear he has light-piping,and the transformation sounds incredible. 2-handed blaster pose? Yes sir. I cant wait to see what weaponizer amalgamations people will come up with for Kup. Thanks for the review, man!
