Even though they said there will be surprises, I still hope that means Studio Series reveals.

 

I actually like the idea of it though. It lets people enjoy the con events without worrying about exclusives dropping.

 

I've said before and I maintain this:

I'd actually be fine with a swap for a few years where Studio Series focuses on G1, UT, Prime, Animated, Bumblebee, and Beast Wars and the mainline Generations is a Bayverse continuation set after TLK. They can work in the minor Bayverse characters left to redo and introduce new Bayverse extensions like a 2020 Camaro Bumblebee. A "new fiction" Bayverse continuation toy trilogy.

As long as one of the two lines offers up Huffer, Gears, Earth Mirage/Sideswipe/Hound, Blaster, Terrorsaur, and BW Inferno (and maybe some extra Quints), I'm happy. I don't care if that's SS or the new trilogy and I'd be content if Hasbro wanted to do a comic book and a Netflix animated show to follow up on TLK.

The only real loser there would probably be GJ1 and 87-89 and G2 exclusive characters who couldn't be served up in Selects. And it's just 3 years.

 

I mean with things like the Bumblebee sequel,The animated Cybertron prequel film,and of course the Beast Wars adaptation coming in the future it's pretty clear that Studio Series will continue to make movie toys once the Bayverse character or at least the great majority of them gets finally completed anyway.

They might! It would be a good time to reveal Wave 3 of Netflix WFC, any additional Selects, or the next Galactic Odyssey Collection set!

They could use the Kingdom reveal panel on Saturday to open preorders for Wave 1 of that line as well!

My god I feel ya man. I've basically planned the latter half of my week around this con.

 

i wouldn't get hopes to high for the sneak peak, it has to cover a 2 day event without giving too much away

 

Honestly the only likely one of these is Kingdom preorders on saturday. I wouldn't expect an announcement of Netflix wave 3 till around toyfair time, even if at a digital con again, because that's when wave 1 was announced and wave 2 isn't even out yet. Selects are always a possibility, but there's not many molds left from Earthrise that are in need of a 2nd use, though more repaint options do exist for several, and I believe the Galacticy Odyssey reveals are coming direct from Amazon.

 

I could see Amazon rolling out Bluestreak or Gigawatt preorders as well.

 

Or Walmart revealing the Headmaster reissues, or Target revealing Thrust and Runabout!

 

For those exclusives, They are not listed yet like last year. I wonder if they will be put up the day of premium day and site will just say be right back until the time.
