Slash is definitely an odd one since she doesn't combine nor is she officially wielded by Volcanicus but I kinda understand where DrOblivion is coming from. At least during the UW period we DID get the Legends molds in some form and it'd be nice to have a matching slash with this set. At the very least that lighter gold, maybe more red, and other lighter paint/plastics would work so she matches the others. Still not gonna happen but there were definitely possibilities.

 

All they would probably do anyway is match the silver, since she has no toon counterpart to base anything else off of.
Other than that, they could pull a Megatronia and make a Decepticon vesrion, but we already have Cindersaur.

 

Yeah TT never did Legends Class 6th members, that was purely Hasbro, and was dropped after CW, though I personally fan mixed a 6th member for every combiner. There are fan modes of Slash a backpack, weapon, or other accessory for Volcanicus. But again, if TT isgoin to only do repaints there are plenty that are new characters. I\'d rather get Guard City, & Battle Gaia before any PotP combiner for a second time.
 

 

Battle Gaia is still the dream at this point. That and G2 Defensor but I'm definitely down for Guard City as well if Gaia actually DOES happen.

I like the blue eyes and silver touches a lot more. Glad they painted the bottom and sides of his robot mode toes this time.

 

Any stock images of POTP Sludge niggle me as Hasbro & Takara both seem to be missing a fundamental aspect of his design, I know that "I know better than HasTak" reads pretty arrogant, and that some of you may be tired of me harping on about it, but for those who came in late, I believe that Sludge should have his upper arms unswapped from the change from Slag/Slug and only the forearms should've changed sides instead of the whole arm.
Please excuse my cheek of illustrating with the OSKO but...

Having the upper arms like this not only gives his arms a less "sagging shoulders" look without the balljoint cut to the front but also gives his upper robot mode arms a closer to 'toon accurate roundedness, and IMO brings them better in line with his chest.


This means in Dino mode that they are the oriented same as Slag/Slug's legs...

...and I believe the original design intent was to have them straightened out, as above, instead of bent like Slag/Slug's giving his Bronto mode a bit of a taller look than Slag/Slug's squatted Triceratops. A clever minimal trick to better scale their dino modes differentially.

On, and for this price Takara should've painted his Gun barrel tip, sight, & wing hinges too!

 

Got to admit the gold on the Takara Dinobots is pretty neat even if otherwise I prefer the more toy-esque deco of the POTP ones. That's a much more rich and warm gold color there.

 

This set has made me that much more excited for the Studio Series Grimlock and Slag.

 

Oh, she'd pop with these colors. Shame. I'm guessing she wasn't a stellar hit overseas. (I'm assuming on that, though.)

He never makes a proper point, it's always mocking people for not having his "wealth" of Takara-Tomy knowledge and hating on Hasbro.
As for wanting Slash to have a matching TT coloration, people are allowed to want something even if it never happens.
