Best thing about Amazon is that they don’t charge for preorders up front so you get some peace of mind from it.

I think that Kapow and ID should offer a placement preorder option alongside the deposit and full payment. I think it’d help them out a lot more with an idea of how much stock to well, stock.

    Great review Sixo.

I was initially looking at UToys to replace my Jinbao OS Warbotron but that MMC Incursus does look great.

Zeta Toys is just fractionally too tall in combined mode for me but it does look awesome.

You have managed to make the decision harder for me. Lol.

I was getting at the idea that it’d help them out theoretically by getting numbers to forward to Hasbro UK to show there’s demand for a certain set or figure to be sold here therefore improving distribution and then reduce the risk of ordering too much or too little.

I think if any the deposit option is risky for them since they’re asking in good faith that you pay off the rest when you get an email saying it’s due it at whatever date.

I don’t think I was quite clear enough in the post that you quoted :)

Damn good price! I got lucky with my Battle Core Prime too, think I paid £36. Pleased to hear you had fun with the Primo Vitalis kit and wish you luck with the Primo X-Mortis kit... which I'm ashamed to say I haven't had the time or bravery to add to Bleachimus yet!

Perhaps I'll be inspired by your efforts :D

In other news, Amazon.co.uk is once again out of Coneheads. I am once again out of the means to pay for them, though, so do I look bovvered? :)

Definitely having a lucky eBay day. Won sealed Blackwing and Rippersnapper for £30 including postage. Just need Hun-Gurrr to complete Abominus now.

Ah bugger nice catch, I always seem to miss Blackwing. Dreadwind is still lonely 2 years later when I found him sealed at a carboot for £5!

Did the seeker pack really become available again, and I missed it again? I can’t even find the listing. Cursed I tell ye!

    Great prices/wins for those 2!

I won a few things off that seller too. Also in the hunt for Hun-Gurrr.

    KANAN JARRUS

Hey look! It's the one member of the cast they splurged to get a proper 'actor' for!

Kanan is Rebels' answer to Obi-Wan Kenobi, the older, more competent Jedi tasked with taking the younger one under his wing to guide in the ways of the Force. Unlike Obi-Wan is the fact that Kanan is alsmost as much of a novice as Ezra is. Kanan, then known as Caleb Dume, was the padawan of Jedi Master Depa Billaba, was still in training when Palpatine enacted Order 66. Giving her life to save him, Billaba was cut down by the clone troopers under her command, allowing Caleb to escape and go into hiding, creating a new identity for himself in order to escape the Empire's wrath. Kanan is voiced in the show by Freddie Prinze Jr. and if you squint the realistic sculpt they've given him here even looks a little like him. What's nice is that these Rebels figures aren't just straight rereleases of the previous toys, but they've been given the new face printing treatment so they look even better than before. It's not really as noticeable with Kanan here, but with the next few figures the improvement is amazing.

    20200916_220543.jpg

Aside from his armour, Kanan could be any average joe you'd see on the street. A green jumper over blue jeans is about as far from a Jedi's robes as you could get, so points to him for that. The armour he wears over his right shoulder and all the way down to his wrist and back of his hand is painted a nice metallic gunmetal grey, same with the kneepads, and there's an emblem painted in white on his shoulder, though I'm not entirely sure what the significance of it is (though I'm sure there's an article about it somewhere on Wookiepedia...) Kanan is wearing a belt with a pouch on the left hip, and the holster for his blaster on the right. Since he's laying low, Kanan uses a DL-18 Blaster Pistol instead of his lightsaber in combat. The weapon is detailed nicely, and looks just like the original prop from ROTJ.

    20200916_221136.jpg

That's not to say Kanan has gotten rid of his more elegant weapon, however. Two pieces of tech hanging off his belt can be removed and plugged together, forming the hilt of his blue bladed lightsaber. It's a small gimmick, but it matches the show exactly, and I find it a novel way of storing his weapon when you don't want to display him with it. The emitter plugs into the front of his belt, while the handle sits horizontally along his back. As such, there's no little hook on his belt for more 'traditional' lightsaber storage.

    20200916_221650.jpg

Kanan was probably my favourite character in Rebels after Hera, and this is a great toy of him. It looks just like you'd imagine a live-action version of the character would, and the details that they've managed to put into this figure are nice and crisp. The only thing I could ask for is maybe a removable helmet like the one he gets at the end of the second season, but even without that I can't find much wrong with this one.

3 more Supes fillums for Cavill? I guess The Witcher made him too hot for WB to let him trot, though I am trepidatious that the next trilogy, if it gets done, will have grubby Snyder fingerprints all over it! Give Supes his S curl with Hank's perfectly tousleable hair, dammit!

This 10th Anniversary TFP box set has got me wanting to pull my TFP collection out of 'retirement'.

I live in hope of seeing a BH Ultra Magnus reissue - ebay prices are a bit crazy. I still kick myself for not getting one from Tesco when I saw him for a tenner. Think I bought Darksteel instead.

Just got shipping confirmation for Chopper & Zeb from Comics & Cocktails which has helped cheer me up after another shitshow from United although to be fair I'm so numb to the fact that the club is broken beyond repair that I'm struggling to find the energy to get pissed off at them for any length of time.

I think they should have released it before the Batmobile, I'm a die hard fan and even I'm not sure it's as necessary/desirable as the car. Despite the shape of the Batwing the car is easily the more iconic of the two as well.
