That totally looks like the thrift store had zero idea it transformed even. I reckon they thought it was a toy gun or something... I mean this dude can how grab a KO and have all the accessories if he wants to, but ultimately he's got the MP display piece for £3.50  

There's three options: left at parents and chucked without permission; a death and clear out; left at ex's house and chucked for revenge. I'm hoping it isn't the second one, but really perversely hope it's the third - what did they do to deserve MP36 being donated?

 

Well, I was front of the queue for fembots, as usual up until ER Arcee, which is how I got the closed hand version and shortly after the open hands seemed to propagate and proliferate, maybe you saw a latter smattering was a last lot of first run Arcees getting distributed late? I don't recall hearing or seeing anything about them popping up again later but I was already sorted for one so perhaps wasn't paying attention.
Still a mystery why the running change "improvement" actually detracted from the figure, I've heard way more about the open hand thumb snapping, and myself not seen a thing about any closed fist breakages?

Looks like it’s the states so I’d assume it has the orange barrel tip on it so I wouldn’t be surprised if that is what they thought. I’m guessing they removed it when they got home? I don’t think anyone in their right mind would let MP-36 go for anything less than £170 max so whatever that is in USD. I really hope it wasn’t sold due to an expected death but also the other scenarios are still painful.

This is exactly why I made a document detailing what I have, the purchase price and year/line it’s from and then what I suspect the resale value would be based on the condition I have it in. The Masterpieces and childhood toys (even if they’re not my originals and are ones I bought recently for nostalgia) are labelled as do not touch even though the prices are there mainly for my own reference.

 

First option is what my parents did with my G1 collection, my brothers G1 collection and all of our Star Wars and other toy lines we had in the 80s.  

In all fairness to my folks, they donated all of that to a home for under privileged kids but still did that without asking my brother and myself. This happened back about 1990-92. We are both over it.   Would have been nice to have kept some into adult life and pass on. My parents had good intentions.

£170 is a bit high I think I saw one for £130ish on eBay a couple of months ago.

 

I guess that’s the minimum I’d let mine go for since I bought him for £260 and he’s immaculate since he’s been in a display case for 3 and a half years but fair enough. £130 feels like it’s too cheap.

I’m sure mine is the first run as well because I had him preordered with Kapow I think? It’s a genuine Takara not a KO either which do go for like £80 upwards.

 

Royal Mail sent me an email at 4am to say my Kapow delivery would be with me today between 06:50 - 10:50. Arrived at 10:46.
Good job it arrived in the time window, or there would have been hell to pay I would have had to wait longer  

The good news is I now have a full Black Series Rebels Ghost Crew. Now watch them announce a Haslab Ghost and full 3.75 line up in the Vintage Collection! (Actually, I would be over the moon with that very unlikely turn of events)

As for TF's, I'm patiently awaiting Airwave to turn up in Smyths so I can go grab him and Smokescreen.

 

The Smyths near me apparently has an overstock of Allicons so that’s pleasing. I’m gonna wait until Airwave is there though because I want 3. I need to track down 3 Greasepits and then a preorder that lets me grab 3 Hothouses.

 

That makes sense, and could explain why it was so hard to find. And i just missed the closed loop hands when it first came out.

 

As you may recall I nabbed some Prime Masters from theuniqueboutique on Ebay for my Nefarious Custom Purposes, and I've just noticed their direct website Bubble-N-Squeak Toys at the bottom of the enclosed receipt whilst (finally) filing it away, not an exactly earth-shattering revelation but there do seem to be some tidy wee bargains going back to the Prime Wars era, for instance the option to pick up a TR Broadside for about RRP so far out from release, Shuffler & Repugnus TMs, 3/5ths of the POTP Terrorcons, just some fairly nicely priced bits and bobs of older Generations gems that might be more expensive to pick up elsewhere now.

Oh yes, I bought all my Mega Bloks/Construx stuff from them and nearly bought a wee CW Buzzsaw from them too! Fantastic service, they’re a great shop.

nearly bought Quint Judge today, they only had one in the Smyths I go to. Huge number of Snapdragons though, on shelves at the same time as Apeface! The first time that’s been the case in 30+ years. Think I’ll wait to get the Alicon, might have the cash to buy two of them if I don’t buy a Judge.

Damn I should have bought it! I was in 2 minds due to the feedback on the paint chipping issues and not a clean upper torso/neck (if that makes sense) area. I think I was finding ways in not to spend money.

Just checked Kapow and it was £170 when in stock lol. Hoping they do another run!
