Poo, forgot how fast the Gastrodon expired. The Porygon2 was nice, though it’s not as perfect as the Amoonguss was.

Now my replaying of older Pokemon games now extends to Pokemon X, Pokemon Omega Ruby, and Pokemon Y. I'm hoping to start replaying Alpha Sapphire, Black 2, White 2 and even Sun and Moon as well as Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon somewhere down the line. I also need to finish the main story for Pokemon Shield as well as what's left over of my playing of the other older Pokemon games I mentioned a few (Pokemon related) posts ago.

We beat Sword, and it took less than half the time that Ultra Moon did.

I will say this, the fight with Eternatus felt anti-climactic. The legendaries did so much damage and Eternatus basically ignored our Pokemon so it felt like the AI was fighting the AI. I would have preferred some more interaction and challenge, like out Ultra Necrozma kicked our butt when we first faced it.

I think my friend Hannah is going to be streaming the post game/raids/multiplayer stuff once all the episodes in main game are out.

Raihan really ruined my team's day. All the other guys so far, pushovers. This guy seemed to really balance things well and catch me off guard. He was allegedly a Dragon type gym, but I was seeing a whole lot of Rock. That ace Pokémon's typing made Fairy risky, with a Rock move to fuck up my Fire types sent out to deal with the Fire. This game was boring me for a while, but that narrow win was a fire under my ass for sure.

I'm thinking of doing a Halloween themed play through because I don't have any Switch games for the season to enjoy, my ideas so far being:

    - Crawdaunt (Dark type, a favorite, and offers Water moves)
    - Pumpkaboo (pumpkin and Ghost-type)
    - Skuntank (just never used this Pokémon before and its typing fits, as well as going with the idea of a stink bomb prank on Halloween)
    - Haxorus (ax theme is morbid)

Still trying to figure the others out.

Mimmikyu (mimic, halloween costume), Grimmsnarl (goblin, troll, monster) and Hatterene (Witch) would be good additions and give you good typings.

Also you can add Lycanroc (Werewolf), Cofagrigus (Mummy), Golbat/Crobat & Noivern (Bats are sometimes depicted in halloween. Along with Vampire representation.)

I don't have the DLC or Switch Online because of my poor internet connection, so unfortunately it seems like Lycanroc and Golbat are out.

Edit: Started my save and got to the registration. Flipped my console's time to P.M. So far I have got Corphish and Stunky for my team. I'm probably replacing Sobble with Corphish but a big plus with this game is I can swap out Pokémon.

I grabbed a Blipbug and evolved it, waiting to get to that UFO. Going to go Joltik hunting for Galvantula. Galvantula may be brightly colored but it's a spider and that seems Halloween. Don't need two Bugs at once, so they'll get switched as need be.

Was sos chaining chansey to level up my shiny Drampa, when a shiny one appeared. So I leppa/Skill swapped the shiny one so I could keep leveling up and eventually catch it. Then this happened

    EDIT:

WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?! KNOCKED OUT THE LEVEL 57 SHINY CHANSEY ON THE RIGHT AND not that long LATER ANOTHER APPEARS!

If you chain enough Pokemon in SOS battles, it dramatically increases the chances of shinies appearing.

Definitely just didn’t expect 3 shinies so fast within each appearing. Even if the chain was at best odds they were still somewhere like 1/600. Since I wasn’t counting though could of been 1/1365 too. The shiny I ended up getting was Rash nature. Still cool to get one.

In Sun/Moon, yeah, at best it's 1/683, with the shiny charm. But it looks like you're playing US/UM, and they made the chances of encountering shinies in SOS battles even better in those versions, being 1/315 (or 1/273 if you've got the shiny charm) once you reach I think it's a chain of 70. Still, 3 shines appearing so close together is amazingly good luck.

Was it confirmed they made the shiny odds better in sos for usum? I thought it was the same as the first ones ?

    EDIT:
According to a quick search, the only info I see for the better odds is that someone datamined the game. Not complaining that’s fine by me if that’s true, Shame gamefreak didn’t put that out as the official odds though, as it would be useful to know that without data mining.
