I'm really hoping, given the style of the box, this will be an Amazon exclusive available on Amazon.com.au.

The box, with its printed outer, reminds me a lot more of Alternate Universe Optimus Prime than the more uniform Generations Selects type boxes.

I mean, really, it's comparing one brown cardboard box with another, but I'd hate for this to be another Centurion Drone situation.

SDCC 2012 - Hasbro Has No Plans for Transformers Prime Voyager Breakdown, Figure Is In 'No Man's Land' Cost Wise

 

This Prime 2-pack is a must-have set for me. I missed out on the Jet Vehicon (though I managed to get the Prime 'regular' Vehicon (didn't get a single First Edition figure, due to their absolutely crappy distribution) and Takara Ground Vehicon General (same guy, silver deco).

As for Breakdown, I only got hold of the 'Silas' variant, but considering that version's fictional background, it's not really a suitable partner for his buddy Knockout. I'll be looking out for this set.

 

I have just realized that I predicted that they would rerelease Arms Microns with their partners. Amazing.

 

I always missed out on Breakdown, hoping for a North American release. I need this to basically round out my Prime collection. When and where can I get this? Are there any details?

 

Here's hoping they would release the Arms Micron mini-figures in some way.

 

Look behind it the toys. You can see the sprues for the toys. They were figures that YOU build back then and they came on sprues. That might be true.

 

Well, i was referring to the other molds besides the included ones that came with Breakdown and Air Vehicon. I kinda love me those 5mm-targetmaster-esque molds. they could simply release the others either via the Prime 10th Anniversary. Either that or release them in multi-packs with newly molded 5mm-compatible weapons and/or show accurate effects.

 

I am clarifying this here. Looking behind the Breakdown and Jet Vehicon, you can see sprues. The original Arms Microns were buildable model kits. You built the Arms Micron. In fact, I am hoping that they rerelease Transformers Prime Nemesis Prime. So people can get the original Giza. Seriously, Giza is the character that is his own military. The original Arms Micron became a Saw Shark and a sword. The one that came with Power of the Primes Evolution Nemesis Prime became a Bird and a sword. The new one with the War for Cybertron Trilogy Netflix Nemesis Prime becomes a Snake and a shield. Arms Micron Giza for the Navy, Fangtron Giza for the Army, and PotP Giza for the Air Force. In fact, if Hasbro were to release an "Evolution of Giza" Pack where they re-release all three Gizas, it would be the ultimate Army Builder. Considering that the Arms Microns all have 5 mm posts, it would allow for any toy, including the new Netflix Nemesis Prime to hold original Giza.

I agree that the Arms Microns all got to be re-released. Especially the original Giza.

 

Hasbro will be officially revealing this set at Pulsecon next week.

 

I'm hoping it's in all fan channels and not limited to like just Amazon or Pulse.

It would just be weird that Hasbro goes all in with fan service/doing a solid by reissuing those two in one fell swoop only to have it cock blocked by lame distribution.

Can’t wait to get this pack and finally get a chance to own Breakdown. I feel however they should have did Breakdown with Knockout and another set of the car and jet Vehicon.

I do hope we get more sets. Maybe a remold of the first edition Optimus into Magnus?! Maybe a voyager sized Soundwave?! Anything would be cool but hey at least we got something. Looking forward to more info and maybe a preorder next week.

 

I hope that this means we will see more sets in the future. Maybe theu can rerelease the first edition figures, or dreadwing and skyquake with bettter weapons.

This may open the door to more reissues of figures that were impossible to get, or that were cancelled. I would lpve the see Hasbro releasing Animated Blackout, Hydrodive Bee, Jetwing Prime, and even figures like Wasp or Thundercraker

 

I'd like a Skyquake, he seems harder to find between the 2.

Would they be willing to do another run of First Edition Prime?

If anything, what I really want are new figures of Knockout and Airachnid that are actually good.

 

I very much want this set. I'd probably still wanna hunt down the AM release and the redecoes purely to have more of an army without being that jerk that buys 20 of em but even just having the chance for a proper pair of Vehicons is nice and I've yet to experience the Breakdown mold either.

 

Aw man, I am glad I held out, i stead of chucking $200+ for Breakdown. Hope good news updates come out soon. Price, distribution, etc.

 

Price seems to be about $82.

 

It's bleeding obvious if something is to expensive to see in a given price point you either shove a 2nd smaller toy in with it to bump it up to the next price point or sell it as a stand alone gift set. Heck Hasbro is already being shifty and selling Voyagers as Leaders and Legends as Deluxes and Deluxes as Voyagers at this time anyway sometimes with a set bulked out with less than useful accessories.

They seem to be selling Select series at a variety of prices now anyway.. so I don't think they even care about that anymore. Just look at how all over the place their Gi Joe and Star Wars pricing is too.

 

I'm with you! Give me a Voyager class Hardshell, at least! My Voyager Bulkhead needs a challenge!
