Head guns for them are like $30-40 and they're left and right. Not even the same mold as another kick to the balls.

Complete with decent stickers it was $130.

Nightbeats are going for like $160-$175 complete on Ebay with decent stickers. INSANE! Luckily I don't need him for my nostalgia. Need Siren though...

 

Just try finding G1 Minerva on eBay. I once saw just the seat/helmet without the head guns for a few hundred dollars.

 

Seriously. I dunno if it's the pandemic, but I don't remember all this stuff being so expensive last year, not to mention this hard to find.

I'm looking for an original G1 Stepper and Artfire, but I'll die of shock to see the price if ever one's for sale.

 

The pandemic's definitely part of it. I guess alot more people are at home and have way more time on their hands. Also just to take their mind off things. Even comics and trading cards are going through the roof right now. Alot of stuff that was somewhat affordable this time last year suddenly is'nt.

 

Damn. I kinda want a Hosehead at some point, but mostly I just want a Decepticon one. Like Fangry. I like Fangry.

 

I lucked out and found a Minerva body with helmet for $120 at TF Expo in Kansas City a few years back. Body was slightly yellowed, but just slightly. Arms are a little loose. Helmet is legit. It came with a crappy resin cast repro head. I eventually bought a Nightbeat head and gun to display with it. I just can’t bring myself to pay for the head guns. Stickers were crap so I got repro stickers. It’s rough, but with my budget, it was my one and only opportunity to own a Minerva.

Picked up a G1 Gears and Walmart Blaster reissue last week.

And I just secured a life-long grail - Powermaster Optimus Prime, the Commemorative Series reissue that's the Ginrai version with Godbomber, on ebay. For $110 shipped.

I'll be sure to post pics when it arrives.

 

I picked up my Hosehead complete for $125. No Nightbeat or Siren yet.

Yeah, I got him for $12 about 3 years ago, Now he's like $25-$35 after the reissue.

 

I finally have a Goshooter to display next to Minerva. I actually put him together from 2 different flawed Goshooters. As you can see, my Goshooter and Minerva have Siren and Nightbeat parts and repro stickers. That's where my budget is at. I'll probably buy a Siren big gun to go with Goshooter. I don't know if I'll ever be able to bring myself to pay what Siren/Nightbeat head guns go for.

Spent this afternoon putting the decals on my Takara C-310 reissue. I was a bit hesitant to use almost 20 year old decals, but they went on just fine. The only decals that were unusable were the side window decals on the trailer. Pretty happy with the outcome. Still gotta order a Toyhax set for my American release Powermaster Prime.

 

I can’t believe that those early 2000’s reissues are older today than the vintage figures were at the time the reissues first came out.
