I can't seem to find this artist's website or where ever you get his art from. The stuff he post on Deviantart has a watermark on it.

Well.... having bought 3 new FT releases in a row, namely Sheridan, Brawn and Dunerunner, I have to say I'm starting to like FT again, after being put off a lot by Willis, Rouge and Koot. Dunerunner looks very good in bot mode, and good enough (though cartoon accurate) in alt mode. I still like the alt mode from XTB better. FT scale for the minibots is more to my liking as well. Articulation is decent, which is good enough for me.

Transformed him for the first time, and just like with Brawn, he fights me a lot and tabbing is difficult. Sheridan was a bit better in that regard, but still very stiff. Well can't have it all I guess...

I got this guy a couple of days ago and he’s starting to grow on me. I love the toon look but he is not as articulated as I’d like. In bit mode he certainly looks better than Arkrose, but it’s disappointing that Arkrose is more articulated despite being a much older toy.

That said, Fanstoys really needs to stop it with their new over-tight, lather every joint with shock oil, approach to engineering. Oil was constantly seeming through the seams in his thighs and just about anywhere near a joint. Just like Sheridan, I ended up taking this guy apart, cleaning him up with dishsoap, sanding/trimming a bunch of parts, and reassembling him to avoid getting that nasty oily feeling on my hands every time I pick him up.

This is my biggest complaint with all of Fans Toys' new releases. I absolutely hate that oily feeling.

How was the process of taking them apart? I don't feel brave enough to do it - partly because I'm afraid that the screws won't hold as well once loosened, partly because I'm afraid of applying soap and water to so many metal parts, and partly just because I'm afraid I'll screw something up in the assembly/disassembly.

Also, for $100+, I shouldn't have to disassemble and bathe my toys.

The weird thing is I don't have this oily issue with my FT bots. Not a single one. I am guessing this only happens for US stock?

Interesting, I was thinking the same thing. I haven't experienced anything like this either. If I recall, Sheridan had a smidgen of residue (coming from Baba) but otherwise Hunk (also Baba) and Dunerunner (TFS-Express) were both dry

I'm guessing that some people get some oil on their fingers, shrug, and move on with their lives. I'm a little anal retentive about that kind of thing, so for me it's The End Of The World every time.

I bought Spoiler on eBay a few months ago, and he must have been from before they started greasing their toys up, because he was totally clean. My reissue Koot was almost completely clean as well, just some tiny specs of oil here and there. Sheridan, Maverick, reissue Roadking, Goose, Iceman, Hunk, Magnum, Dunerider - all have various amounts of oil. Sheridan is still, to this day, oozing oil from some of the deep crevices (the ankle slider comes out slick every time I extend it, even though I wipe it off every time).

Oh, forgot to mention: I'm in the U.S., reissue Koot was from Ages 3 And Up, Spoiler was from a Chinese eBay vendor, all my other FT toys were from TheChosenPrime, TFSource, or BBTS. I suppose this fits with the idea that only U.S. toys get dunked in oil, but it seems like an inefficient production pipeline to grease up some units buy not others.

I should clarify that I meant it was limited to some figure batches. Whether that'd be US only or not is debatable, although if you're doing it on a given day you could easily line that up with a batch for a certain retailer I suppose...

They ALL got dunked in oil, it's just that the ones coming later from China had had time to dry.

A bit late to the game here. Dunerunner has arrived 2 days ago ... and Arkose had to go. He's definitely the better figure and he fits much nicer into my S2 display. He's got the right size and proportions to stand next to DX9 Powerglide, TW Seaspray and XTB Cosmos. I'm very tempted to get Sheridan now even if I really like BC Wardog.

Other than that he's a very friendly fella. Except with some creatures...

Get Sheridan, he is a very solid feeling bot. Honestly, i love all 3 FT Minibots from 2020, and magnum too.

Got this guy in from the Chosen Prime. Fits in wonderfully with my other minibots. No complaints here.
