    EZRA BRIDGER

Ah, the 'kid appeal' character. Every cartoon has one, for better or for worse; Transformers has Bumblebee, Clone Wars has Ahsoka, and Rebels... Rebels has Ezra. Now, like most people, I was not too keen on the character that Rebels presented as its main focus. An orphan living on the streets of Lothal, currently under occupation by the Empire, Ezra ekes out a living by being a Star Wars equivalent of Aladdin. Only without the monkey. Seriously though, he was a bit of a brat at the start of the series, but I suppose you would be too if your parents got 'disappeared' by the Empire. The first two series were a little light on the character development for Ezra, aside from the fact he was revealed to be Force sensitive and Kanan took it upon himself to train the boy as a Jedi. It wasn't until season three where I feel Ezra really came into his own, but the first two seasons are what this figure is based on, so 'brat' Bridger it is.

    20200916_213535.jpg

As this is a figure based on the early seasons of Rebels, Ezra is appropriately attired, with an orange jumpsuit, brown vest, and green gloves. One leg of the jumpsuit has been ripped off and replaced with a different material, and the other is decked out with white shin and knee armour. One of Ezra's more endearing qualities (IMO) is his collecting of Imperial helmets from his adventures. Appropriately, one id included with the figure, an Imperial cadet's helmet that he acquired in the series itself. Sabine had a habit of painting the helmets once Ezra had collected them, but the one included is in its stock form. It was slightly warped out of the packaging, but it's made of a soft plastic, so it still fits his head just fine.

    20200916_214002.jpg

Like any good Jedi in training, Ezra comes with his unique Lightsaber, capable of being hooked to his belt for storage. What's unique about Ezra's saber is the hilt. Early on in his training Ezra had difficulty with deflecting blaster fire back at his opponents, so he instead built a blaster into the hilt of his lightsaber, so instead of killing them with their own shot, he could shoot them straight away. How novel. It looks like a staple gun, and mine was slightly warped in the packaging, but it should be easy enough to bend it back into shape. The saber comes with a blue blade that plugs nice and securely into the hilt. Articulation is up to par with the other Black Series figures, however his hips are hindered slightly by the straps around his thighs.

    20200916_214216.jpg

So yeah... Ezra's a bit of a marmite character, either you like him or you don't. I came around to him, but I know there are others who never did. Whatever you think of him, this is a good figure, and he completes the Ghost crew nicely.

If the ark is something else then they've done an amazing job of keeping the real next Titan under wraps.

That casting choice alone is almost enough for me to watch it. She was phenomenal in orphan black.

The omnibots appear to be almost done. Just can't decide if downshift should keep his black forearms or get them done in gold. Or bronze.

One of his shoulder cannons is very loose too. Need to figure out how to tighten that clip. And there's some red bits showing on camshaft that need painting, but ultimately, there they are.

Just feel so tired tonight. Been running around more than usual helping the wife as her meds strength changed and it's knocked her out of sorts. Coupled with my keeping waking up in the nights and my energy is just

Still, heard a video today say discovery season 3 would be internationally distributed by netflix. So there's that. If true.

The only way I can see Phamduc's statement being the case is if the Titan is planned for the end of Kingdom and they haven't even started it yet

Could the Ark be the first War For Cybertron Trilogy Select series Titan Class release? That might go hand-in-hand with your bumped-back notion as it would mean that technically it wouldn't be the WFC: Kingdom titan. I mean it is actually in all three chapters so that sort of slide to the side has some sense to it?

Flint Dille is finally delving into his storage for the first time in decades. We could soon lay eyes on The Secret Of Cybertron. In the meantime, here is what has turned up so far:

Yeah it could be but if that were true its odd for them to be teasing it already when they're only just announcing the start of the line.

Good theory. I was going for "unrelated titan" type theory myself, but Selects, Studio Series (86?), or Earthrise Netflix, etc. would all work to keep this alive as titan scale figure that still allows it to meet Phamduc's statement.

But yeah, if there's another titan coming there's a decent hat being kept on it at Hasbro, given the other stuff we've seen.

Man, I love the creature designs of The Inhumanoids, do we know who's actually behind them?

Also that "Buy Smokescreen" Energy had to go somewhere, so muggins 'ere has ordered another £17 Amazon UK Ironworks to totally nick Toyhax's Evil Smelting Pool Dude WROUGHT idea, oh, and the Watchmen HBO series blu ray because it was brilliant!

I suppose i get what you're saying.. with the emphasis on making more things realistic, there is a natural tendency to have less imagination and soul. Still loved gta5 tho, it blew my mind. i wasnt even high this time.

Kind of like Punch/Counterpunch, Blast Off and Repugnus? Not entirely released as any one part of the trilogy but just released generally as a 'War for Cybertron' 'figure' ?

And thanks for the suggestion re: Impactor :)

Toys based on other toys is a bit bizzare. Like I get it with Transformers and even Mr(s) Potato Head because Toy Story, but to my knowledge Furbies have never had any kind of cartoon? Just seems surreal to me ^^

I clearly backed the wrong horse with my Arcee pre-order on Kapow :(  Still waiting on getting an invoice for her and the other Rung/Slitherfang pre-order I had with them... then again, still working on the Astro Squad from ID Toys which they took the money for a few weeks back then the release got bumped back...

Oh and I've not taken lots of pics yet but wow, T30 Springer is chonkier than I realised! But in a good way :D
Also kinda frustrating that TL Arcee had the running change to the hands preventing the handles of her weapons going all the way through. Do we know why this was done exactly? Looking at how small the pieces are I'm going to assume it's an issue with strengthening the thin plastic there? Has anyone here customised there's to cut through the extra bit of plastic and if so how'd it go? I ask as it'd be nice to be able to do the reverse grip with the swords for example.

Also you ever notice it often seems like it's the fembot weapons who get the rectangular 5mm grips over the traditional pegs? I kind of wonder if it's got anything to do with fembot hands tending to be slightly open so the handles are more visible so they give them more mold detail?

Mate, I've been in the same boat with these bastards. Out for delivery Tuesday, no show, they reshedule for the next day... then updated to delivered. At 11pm. No they fucking didnt.

After 2 days of making me wait to see if they miraculously show up I got them to put a new order in for me on the next restock. If the ones that were sent show up - great. But im not hopeful. Amazon clearly dont care, they didnt even suggest I contact (their) depot.

What annoys me is that an item has been assigned to a specific vehicle/staff member for delivery and they cant track this? They can only vaguely ask you to see if it might show up? Bollocks.

Anyway, hopefully I'll have a new set delivered within a month, and hoping yours crop up.

In terms of the toys, no idea. Model design team on the original shorts/movie were Jim Janes (who sadly just passed away), Bill Draught, Lee Go and Paul Gruell

I really hope Blitzwing is still around come Christmas. Can't really justify more Transformer spending right now, especially after ordering a new gaming laptop and family birthdays in early October eating into my monies. I know a lot of people aren't pleased with the altmode but I find it good enough and the robot mode looks great. Dammit at this rate I'm gonna get all the SS figs from Bumblebee as I also intend to get Cliffjumper and am highly tempted to get Bumblejeep just to re-enact scenes with Blitzwing x)
Then again I did love that movie.
I would likely draw the line at if they start releasing one billion seekers. Though I wouldn't pass up picking up maybe one of the BB style Tetrajets possibly...

You know Kapow aren't taking delivery of new Hasbro products until 24th, yeah? It was posted a couple of days ago on FB and in one of the UK threads, though can't recall which.

I had heard some of that though I don't remember the date being mentioned, but I wasn't sure how it applied to the Rung one especially, who last I checked were still stating July for him (I think) but I guess they haven't updated the page yet. Fingers crossed come the 24th I'll get a flurry of invoices :)  I did get an email saying they were expecting Super Megatron on the 27th though so I guess that all makes sense.

To be clear, I hold no ill will towards Kapow for any of this :)

    Yeah, Rung is odd...

Fairly sure it was 24th they said. It was a pretty long post they made too. @Seeaich posted it in whichever thread it was...
