I've yet to watch Tonton, or an entire PvP to be honest. I have a few reviewers who I circulate (Thew, Gav Spence for fun and Benscollectibles, bots & bits for info) and rarely venture outside. its also why I'm at least a year behind everyone else

Ironhide was my first Siege toy and I do not at all regret picking up Crosshairs. I can't remember if I got him online or in store but I remember getting him around the same time I got Siege Sideswipe - my first 'swipe was the Alphastrike pack version - and so perhaps by coincidence I quite like having Crosshairs with Sideswipe, G2 'swipe aka Alphastrike -thanks @Subdurmal - and First Aid as a squad of Autobot grunts with Crosshairs being the heavy weapons guy.
Then again, I quite like having Ironhide try out everyone's weapons so maybe the mold just brings that out for me   I may try and snag Siege Ratchet if/when the Takara reissues become available. I also can't help but wondering if Crosshairs could be a good base for an Orion Pax custom?

It's funny, coming from the tail end of PotP as my 'bringing me back into TF' thing I did not like the look of the battle damage at all, but now I really like it and in fact the toys from ranges without it look a little odd by comparison x)

I had similar problems with the IDW Deviations comic of TF The Movie, their what if? subline thing where Optimus survives the Battle of Autobot city but some things feel truncated or sped over too quickly and everyone hating on Hot Rod even though he DIDN'T get Optimus killed in this 'verse. It's odd.

Edit: Having a bad mental health today this morning, so perfect timing for the second hand Takara Legends Arcee and T30 Springer I got on eBay to arrive! Thankfully Arcee survived the journey as a bubble wrapped robot mode in a too big box. Springer meanwhile was packaged really well and shipped in a Star Wars Black Series box   some guy called Hondo Ohnaka?
Springer also comes with reprolabels already attached and originally I was planning to whip them off right away but they're applied really well and don't look all that obnoxious so I may just leave them on ^^

Also, does anyone know what colour plastic IDW Impactor's head is? Ever since I've had him there's been a little spot of yellow on the front cornertip of his head crest and I always assumed it was yellow plastic and the paint had scraped off there but looking at it lately the yellow of his head in general LOOKS more like yellow painted over a darker colour so I'm wondering if the base plastic is purple I might be able to scrape that dot off?

 

I can't remember them at all. That was like ten years ago, back in my amateur days. Before I was kept up at night thinking about scale. I was just happy having a few robots on my shelf that had a nostalgic vibe to my childhood. Oh the innocence

 

Ah yeah, that was them! Their apeface and snapdragon were the best of the bunch to my mind, so looking forward to see how they get OSKmOdified. Am hoping they do a scorp and fort max too. I mean, I have three scorps already (within direct line of sight right now no less), but you can never have too many garish headmaster leaders!

Took delivery of Earthrise Arcee and I’m actually kinda surprised how good she is. She’s definitely not worth the upgrade if you have the 2013 version but if you’re like me and never had one, well worth it! Elita-1 is definitely on the cards.

I hypothesise that reviewers hang onto their own opinions and tastes way too much and really can paint a figure in a bad light if it’s really not to their liking. The designers did an awesome job with this one considering the boundaries of her character design. Even the hoverboard thing is better in person although she can’t really ride it without looking unnatural.

Hopefully getting the Quint Judge and Allicon next!

In other news, I’ve discovered that some shmuck at the factory did a bodge job and pinned one of the fingers on my Scorponoks right claw incorrectly so it’s wonky. I thought it was plastic residue but upon further inspection as tho why his finger won’t extend fully is this.




Not sure if it’s easy to tell but basically the pin has been pinned incorrectly so there’s not enough space for it to extend fully.

There goes me thinking I had a perfect figure from this line. Since Siege the QC has been absolutely awful. Silver lining is that he has a natural trigger finger resting position for holding Brunt in the fan mode gun mode courtesy of @Seeaich from a few months back. I just really hope it doesn’t affect his ability to hold Fasttrack in spear mode.

RDR2 = As a technical achievement it's fantastic, but I got to about halfway through the story and tired of the grind, there's too much to do and not all of it intresting.

I've got all the Unique Toys Headmasters in a bag in a storage box with my other TF's I've no longer got room to display, I think there's a nice difference between the cartoony look for the originals and the additional details of the OSKO'S and the latter are so much better for being able to turn their heads.

 

Really? I was looking at them this morning and he was on the site but unavailable for home delivery. If they were, I'd have probably ordered one with a pair of alicons instead of what I did order.


Now I'm sat here looking at reviews of Quints and Alicons. Think I'll pick u pa pair of alicons at some point to be the Judge guard. I kinda want an ER judge or two but I also have the legends sized 3p judge and I really like that size for them. It makes them the same height as their sharkticons. I also feel like I'm starting to spiral so a step away from tf videos and a spot of painting to finish off the omibotts I think. Before I end up buying way too much plastic crack.

We got in touch with Student Finance England again today. Turns out, yes, it is a cock up with them having Rune down as having done a degree level qualification. However, they claim it was our fault, though I'm not sure that works. I helped them fill in the application and I'm pretty sure we didn't slip and accidentally add a whole degree to the previous education section. Funnily enough, there's no way of looking up the application to check. Anyway, what's really got me riled up is that apparently it's going to take 35 working days to sort out! What a load of bollocks! Yeah, it's their busiest time of year, but how long does it take to change one tiny thing? The whole thing is stressful enough for us, I can't imagine what it'd be like for some poor kid who'd left home to go to uni to find out that they weren't getting any money less than a week before they were supposed to start and it was going to take seven weeks to sort out.

 

Might cancel my Amazon preorder if it goes through!

Good grief. They are not great to deal with this time of the year. I am getting contacted by folks who can't get their loan even though they applied mid August.

Every year I print out two copies of my application. One to post, one to file away just in case sh!t like this happens.

If it helps, universities are flexible regarding such payments and the funds aren't even released until late October so it should be ok.
