    (W) Brian Ruckley (A/CA) Bethany McGuire-Smith
World War spills into this all-new limited series! As Cybertron descends into a state of war, countless civilians-unaligned with the Autobots, Decepticons, or any faction-are caught in the crossfire. Fortunately, a solution may be coming... As the two new leaders of Cybertron's most dominant factions step into their new roles, one finds himself seeking council from one of the four Great Generals-for better or for worse. (W) Cavan Scott (A/CA) Juan Samu
Where-and when--are Marty McFly and his pal, the Autobot Gigawatt? That's what Biff Tannen wants to know because if he can find them, he can help his bosses-the Decepticons-find what's left of the Resistance and pound 'em into next week. And if Biff can't find them... well... he'd better prepare to be on the receiving end of a Decepticon whupping!

Haven't read any of the new IDW stuff since the last IDW continuity ended. I don't know how to feel about this new run. The art doesn't look as great. Do you guys recommend?

I've personally enjoyed it. The run started slow, but the pace has picked up in the recent issues. If you're interested in reading it, maybe get it in trade paperback or in volumes.

Personally, I like the art, especially since they've recently made a commitment to two artists, whose art style compliment each other. At first, I had issue with the initial artists they chose, but now, I'm liking the two main ones that they have.

If this is somehow "god awful art" I'd hate to see what you think is good.
Something like Heat of Darkness could be seen as "god awful" Transformers art, this is just a blocky stylized take on Wheeljack.

That Arkwork looks to be the designs for the Ark in four different continuities all leaving the same Cybertron as it\'s being destroyed Krypton style!

It is? Would you mind pointing them out? I would try to identify them myself, but the design of the Ark isn't that memorable to me so I can't really tell them apart.

There's not that memorable to me either but the black one I believe is Sentinel Prime's ship from Dark of the Moon. That's the only one that was hugely different from the other Arks and really stands out. Though it's not quite the right shape...

I mostly said that because all four ships in the image look like slightly different variations of the Ark design.

That cover is borderline false advertising.

You see this gorgeous and incredibly drawn cover, then you open it up and expect to see artwork on par with that.. and you don't. I couldn't care less about this boring iteration of TF but that artwork is phenomenal.

Not been keeping up with this current continuity, so forgive me if it's obvious, but who's the figure in the centre, with the wings?

I keep wanting to dive into this but I've yet to finish Lost Light or Sins/Requiem of the wreckers.

I didn't read too much of the past continuity as by the time I got interested there was so much to catch up on. I stuck with MTMTE and SOTW as felt they were separated enough to keep track. And just read up on past/present stories on the wiki to keep up.

I was actually looking forward to a fresh start but it's been so long since this new continuity has come out that I'm now confused at it all. Theres the regular story, then Galaxies is separate? So what's War Worlds, or Rise of the Decepticons?

No worries. Because of the silhouette, even I don't know who it is. It might be a character who hasn't debuted yet. It might be Deathsaurus, who last appeared in Transformers Galaxies #6, but I could be wrong.

I know that feeling. I remember trying to catch up with IDW 1 in order to prepare myself for its final year in 2018.

There are currently two series for IDW 2; Transformers (2019 -) and Transformers Galaxies, which concludes with issue #12. War Worlds and Rise of the Decepticons refer to the story arcs for Transformers (2019 -). Transformers Escape is a new mini series also set within IDW 2.
