Well, I'll be over here putting some salt and pepper on my hat. I'm one of the people that firmly believed the package description of a single deluxe figure (what was up with that description anyway??). Never thought HasTak would do a new run of the original molds after all these years.
As chance would have it, I was IN Japan when the original figure was on shelves. Came across one when I wasn't even looking, and picked it up. Glad that more fans will finally have the chance to own this guy; he's great!
THIS NEEDS TO HAPPEN. Talk about figures people didn't have a chance to get. Heck, if they want to make it a 2-pack, they could do Blackout and one of those never-released repaints at the same time, like Wasp or Vortex Blurr.

Pinhead the puppet killed 17 people. So yeah if you're comparing him to Breakdown, hell to the yes that's great. :D

I hope I will be able to get one of these.  Two figures I really wanted, but didn\'t want to pay the huge prices.

I own both of these figures already. Heck, I love the Breakdown mold so much I also have Silas Breakdown, Swerve, and Botcon Megatron, too. I’d buy this in a heartbeat if they were painted instead of stickers (they use really shitty quality stickers, too).

That’s the only reason I’m even thinking about it. $80 is a lot to swallow for something you just want a backup for.

*phew* that's good, because had it been number one, I would've had to check out of this thread for a few days, as that would greatly exceed my daily intake of weird on the internet....

Number two would have least been tolerable. ;)

after selling most TFP stuff I kept my Takara Bulkhead, which is a work of art, and one of my all time FAV TFs...Ive wanted this breakdown since I seen it, failed to get it..This will be mine.

Still kept my original Vehicons too, the FE, which I like more, and the Prid.

This will be a KICK ASS purchase. I never had that breakdown, but ive watched enough videos I know its radical.

Dangit! It comes with Jet Vehicon who I don\'t have but I already have Breakdown!
Ah well it\'s not a retail release anyway(is it?) so I\'m not even going to get it. But if I do somehow get it I might customize Breakdown as his eye patch look.
Also, this might make it almost impossible to army build the jet Vehicons without spending a lot of money.

The only question I have is how I as a Canadian collector get my hands on this.

Could this possibly mean that more 10 year anniversary rereleases could be expected?

Maybe to make up for it, they could do even more than release Japanese-exclusive Animated molds like, say, producing the unreleased figures and prototypes? It’s crazy talk, I know, but it just might be possible if Hasbro keeps getting more unexpected.

I am going to guess this will be about $60 if it has a US release. Which by the English language packaging I think is very likely. Arms Micron releases should be more expensive than the original US Prime releases. The paint budget was more, extra tooling for peg holes, plus a transformer partner accessory. War Breakdown is a voyager+ so I will guess his worth would be about $40 today. Vehicon probably on par with a modern deluxe since extra pieces and accessories went into the price hike to $20nfor WfC.

Maybe a Walmart exclusive in the US? They seem to be the ones doing such things. I hope it is a Fan Channel release instead.

I'm glad to see that he's finally getting a US release. I wish they would have done a little remolding to get rid of the arms micron warts and just gave him a show accurate hammer, with paint and decals

That would work for me. They've served me well for GenSels after all.

The trouble is, Animated shares an anniversary year with the Bay movies. 2022 is the 15th anniversary, so I feel like we might get a pack similar to this one (I'm guessing Wingblade Optimus and Hydro Bee assuming they follow the "rerelease a two pack of japanese exclusives" model) or at the very least something like Lockdown in RED.
..after all, they're already doing Movie Masterpiece and SS, so I feel like there isn't much farther to go from there for the Bay movies.

If they gave us Animated Hotshot that'd be amazing. A Jolt would be great too, can you imagine how adorable Animated Minicons would be?
