Weird question, would SS Optimus' truck mode be in scale with MPM Starscream's Jet?

I was going to say no at first, but taking another look at this, maybe it could be:


If someone can measure the length of MPM Starscream in vehicle mode I can figure out the scale, and how big Optimus would have to be to scale with it.

Theres a Dark of the Moon Burger King commercial where Shockwave and Prime are fighting in the background. They did more fighting in that one commercial than they did in the entire movie. As good as Sentinel Prime was, I would’ve much rather had Shockwave be the main villain, and the brains behind the idea of bringing Cybertron to Earth.

There was also a TLK Sonic commercial that has a really cool Bumblebee and Barricade fight... that wasn’t in the movie.

That one makes me kinda mad - at least the Shockwave V Optimus fight was kinda in the movie since they just put Shockwave over Sentinel in their fight at the end of DOTM, but the Bumblebee v Barricade fight never made it into TLK at all. It would have been really cool too, especially since TLK’s fights were pretty lacking compared to the earlier movies, particularly ROTF and DOTM.

At least the Transformer slushes were actually pretty good xD

 

The Bee/Barry fight might have been in the movie but been cut, since they basically took a chainsaw to the movie. Could have been from the town confrontation or London, since we know there were definitely scenes cut from both of those segments.

 

Pardon my language, but holy fuck. That was three years ago! I remember wanting to go to Sonic to get one of those slushes. It feels weird that it was three years ago. Time has become such a foreign concept for the last year or so, I swear.

Sentinel made the movie for me. He’s literally one of my all-time favourite movie villains. If he goes DOTM would feel pretty different and probably not in a good way.

There was a post in the Movie boards that suggested replacing Lockdown with Shockwave. Shockwave as a rogue, former Decepticon defected from Megatron long ago to serve the Creators and comes now for Optimus Prime. I thought it was pretty good.

 

The 2nd hand DOTM deluxe Topspin that I ordered from an online marketplace has just arrived at my doorsteps...



For a movie figure from 2011 (Where they are based on concept art rather than the final CGI renders), DOTM Topspin's alt mode actually looks pretty good (And is actually more movie-accurate than I expected).

 

So true. He was what gave Optimus a character arc, too, and what led into his character in aoe. Shockwave was not essential in any way to dotm, and could be cut completely. I think he'd deserve his own movie, maybe after aoe because I freaking love Lockdown and with the fan edit it's such a good movie.

Scrap TLK completely, have shockwave come to earth to take over the decepticons since he heard megatron died in dotm. Galvatron comes and challenges him for leadership but is defeated by shockwave who only follows the TRUE megatron. Then megs and a few loyal cons leave earth to go after optimus only to discover he's been turned by the creators (the organic beings from aoe not a floating metal woman), and they have to fight to get him back so they can all defeat shockwave together. Megs and OP form a truce, head back to earth, ally with the surviving autobots and humans to defeat shockwave and take the earth back.

Then the creators realizing optimus is gone at the end and heading for earth is the teaser that leads into the next movie, which is an all-out war between transformers/humans and the creators, which leads to humans and ALL transformers working together (ending the war with bots and cons) against a common enemy, just like at the end of the 86 movie.

BOOM Now THERE's the 5th and 6th movie I would have wanted to see.

 

I feel bad to those who just want to get into Devastator rn. This guy, for some reason, has been one of the more expensive ones to obtain. Hasbro needs to maybe rerelease him? As for the movie, i think the transformers can follow the footsteps of the MCU and have a sort of end game with Unicron that can be built up across a decade.

How's your Shockwave holding up? I stopped watching the thread because it looked like V2 was still pretty bad.

 

The right shoulder broke off on day one due to weak plastic, but I was able to restore the joint. BA Prime is made of stronger plastic than Shockwave.
