Cartoon paintjob ER Optimus and Megatron in a "One Shall Stand" type set would be nice. I'd like to see his trailer included, which they'd probably remove for it unless they kept the price high. The regular colours on Prime and Megatron are just too bland. White thighs or even just silver would be cool, and a lighter grey or silver on Megatron. Chuck some simple accessories like Megatron's purple blaster, lightsaber and orange spike, and you're golden.

A deluxe bots Devastator would be nice, even if they just scaled down the Combiner Wars set with Takara's changes. Might be off the cards though.

Pretty safe to say the remaining Dinobots will be done too, either as lone voyagers or as leaders with another small guy in tow.

 

For those who are cool I hope not too much, I want them to get their missing characters too. As for those who said callously all those years ago “G1 is dead, get over it!” I hope they are enjoying some crow .

 

Wouldn’t be surprised if there were a studio series 84 & 85 at some point.

 

Given the fact we CHUG is mainly G1 but newer and the fact Earthrise was literally just G1 but again and now Studio Series is having their own G1 party, I don't think G1 ever actually died.

I visit the Movie Appreciation Thread a lot. If there's a thread for the "fanatics" you talk about, it has to be there. Though sometimes people pop up to talk about G1 when new reveals come, most of the anger they had when Wheelie-Grimlock was revealed seems to have disappeared.

 

I doubt fanatics would go to a movie appreciation thread to bitch about G1.

What if Hasbro is now looking at the fan's reaction to the "cancelled" SS86 Devastator and using the leaks as an idea testing ground? After seeing such a positive reaction to the "binned" Devastator concept, and such lamenting that it would have been great, they might take the idea more seriously...

 

meh, i dont see anyone throwing a hissy fit about it. sure, the first reactions were salty, but when everyone realized bayverse isnt getting replaced, i think all the rage simmered down (including me)

 

By fanatics I mainly mean a small group of nutjobs who practically worship these movies and screech about G1 and stuff. I doubt you fit into that category.

 

The kinda guys to yell at you in a five-paragraph essay and call you a geewunner just because you prefer the G1 movie to Age of Extinction.

Anyways, do you think we'll see more SS86 in 2022? I personally think it's very likely, the fact that they did Slag seems to indicate they're doing the rest of the dinobots. Can't wait for people to get angry because [insert character from bay movie that appeared for ten whole seconds] didn't get a figure but Snarl, who appeared in three crowd shots and nothing else, did.

 

It's likely those shit forgettable characters like Dino, Que and Jolt will get figures eventually, it's just the 86 show for now. That being said I don't think it'll be that many figures, my guess only really the main group (Hot Rod, Kup, Galvatron, Blurr, Cyclonus, basically characters from the movie that weren't in Siege or Earthrise)

 

Dino and jolt are confirmed to be getting figures this year, in fact.

 

I think CHUG is still lagging behind a little in terms of cost-cutting, sometimes they make a change and it ends up disproportionately affecting the figure for worse. Earthrise Arcee comes to mind. They have improved though, there are certainly some more creative workaround in a lot of recent figures. I'd say we probably wouldn't see many Combiner Wars Devastator level problems in the current climate.

 

Personally, i think the IDEA of removable kibble on hyper-accurate G1 femmes could be done well, but ERCee could have done it a little better. In the future, I'd suggest spreading the kibble across the robot mode so you have the options of a hyper-accurate femme AND a robot that can transform into a car, as opposed to a hyper-accurate G1 femme and a hyper-accurate G1 femme but with a massive backpack.

 

Don't know if anyone knows the case breakdown for each wave, but I was told that Jazz is not yet in productions, so maybe wave 2 or 3 of 2021?

 

Does anyone know if there's a newer Magnus rumored for this line? I know there's on rumored for kingdom. Debating whether to wait if there's a better one coming.

 

Only Kingdom. I wouldn't expect both WFC and SS figures of characters, it'll likely be one or the other or else Hasbro will be cannibalizing their own sales

 

With Kingdom, Earthrise, Siege and Studio Series, we basically got most of all the characters from the 1986 movie. Other than Snarl, Swoop, Sludge, Blaster, Wreck-Gar and Perceptor, I can't think of anything else from the 1986 movie that needs to be made.
