I got my replacement parts from ShowZ I think at the back end of last year/beginning of this year and they included the front part as well. The left shoulder broke again though so I just to glued it together. So my Dragstrip has no bicep swivel on that arm but at least it holds.

Cheddar really was a poor material choice. Manchego would've been much more preferable.

So we've all asked ourselves the following questions I take it?:

If we've seen photo's of the trailer and the base mode... why are we not being shown the combined form? I mean it has to have been photographed at the same time as the other two right?

These are some possible reasons based on comments from here and my own attempt of deduction:

The combined mode is still broken and still needs fixing.
The photographer f%^&ed off with the photos and is holding XTB to ransom.
The photographer f%^&ed off with the photos and the physical trailer and is holding XTB to ransom.
It got lost in the postal system upon return from said photographer.
The trailer itself has contracted Covid 19 and is in self isolation.
The Egg wasn't nearly as successful as they wanted it to be so lost sales have held back the funds needed to put the trailer into full production.
They're scared to show it because of a shameful price tag which may cause a massive fan backlash - like with the Egg.
They know deep down FT are better so they've given up at the last hurdle.
They know deep down DX9 are better so they've given up at the last hurdle.
They secretly saw Rising Force's renders and know deep down that it's going to be better so have given up at the last hurdle.
Or they are simply holding it back on purpose.

I know this post was meant as satire, but I've actually gone ahead and highlighted the scenarios that are probably VERY close to the real reason.

 

Ironically the latter one could have been avoided with a more sensible price point that would've shifted loads more units (ultimately more profitable).

Hell, my final tally for the ER Quint Pit, 2x ER Quints, 2x Allicons, and then the Legends - 2x MFT Sharkies, Kup and Hot Rod plus Dinobots has set me back a fair bit. I'll end up with a great looking movie scene homage alongside HasLab Unicron but I'd just as easily have got a 3 pack of the Egg for $300 and been happy.

 

Maybe the real trailer was the friends we made along the way.

XTB put the Egg first rather than the trailer because they thought its gonna do well until they reveal the ridiculous price they had for it

 

I don't understand why they didn't make a cheaper basic version without any of the gimmicks and a limited edition version that lights up and does all the other stuff I don't care about and will never use.

 

Cause no one would buy the "limited" edition and they could not charge us $70 for basic electronics. I honeslty think they screwed up so much on some design elements on this or other figures they are trying to recoup the cost here. They are the only MP Quint game in town. Maybe they thought they could use that for a price advantage. Not sure they factored in the hasbro variant or how unimportant quints are to a lot of people.

 

100% profit of zero units sold is zero dollars. They don't make $70 off of basic electronics if I pass on buying the figure entirely. Without the expensive gimmick, I may have purchased three or more of these and now I'm buying zero of them.
