Here's a question for y'all...

I recently got on a Street Fighter kick (no pun intended) and bought the 30th Anniversary Collection. However, I'm having a hell of a time using the standard PS4 controller, especially without the option to assign Px3 or Kx3 to the shoulder buttons. I keep getting my ass beat because moves won't come out when I want them to.

So I started looking into PS4 fight sticks when I realized I still have my Madcatz SFIV Tournament Edition stick for PS3. I've read that it will actually work to play SFV (which I don't own yet), but is it possible to use it for the Anniversary Collection as well?

EDIT: After some research, it looks like legacy controllers do not work with SF30thAC. I would need to buy a Brook Super Convertor, but that definitely beats having to buy a whole new stick.

 

Well, I'm ready to migrate my PS4 library over while I wait for actual PS5 games!

Now let's see if I can actually get one before middle of 2021.

I have another question...

Is there a way to reliably look at ALL the current deals on PSN at one time?
I’m asking because I thought I was looking at all of them (under the “All Deals” button), but when I specifically searched for Dragon’s Crown Pro, it showed it being like 65% off, and it didn’t show up in ANY sale category, not even “Games Under $10”.

Sometimes I’ll just browse around to see what’s on sale, so it’s frustrating to find out that I might not be seeing everything, even though it tells me I am.

 

I stopped using the console storefront and just always get games and look at deals using my desktop/laptop. The webstore is pretty much an overall easier browsing experience in my opinion. The most useful feature to me is creating a wishlist (something you can't do on console) which is what I refer to when looking at which games I want, and if they are currently on sale. Sure the store has the deals all broken up in their own sections also if you're not sure what you want, but I find being able to quickly look only at what I want all gathered in one place, and if they drop in price, a lot better and less tedious.

If you're not familiar with it, the wishlist looks something like this on desktop. Sale prices along with PS+ discounts show up and are what I quickly look at. Got about 20+ things I'm watching/waiting on.

 

Well, I learned something yesterday.

I got on PSN last night ready to take advantage of their Black Friday deals, which were supposed to end December 1st. I assumed that meant the deals would be available all day on December 1st, but apparently not. The deals were gone and replaced by an underwhelming holiday sale.
Very disappointing. I’m curious what time of day the deals ended.

On a side note, is the Bioshock remastered collection worth a purchase? I already own all three on previous-gen consoles, but it’s one of my favorite series ever, so I’m wondering if the collection is enough of an improvement to warrant the price.

 

Besides a few slight graphical updates, if you already own the original, than you really have no reason to buy it on recent consoles. It does come with all of the DLC from all 3 games, removes the multiplayer from Bioshock 2, can be played in 4K, a higher frame rate, and a directors commentary if your into that type of stuff.

 

YAY.!.!! My original PS4 is NOW EJECTING THE DISC RANDOMLY. Best of all is when I'm playing online and it decides just to randomly eject/spit the disc. Pretty awesome to make it to Round 31 in Zombies then the game ejects 

 

Two friends of mine have talked about this recently. Early model, right? It's a physical issue with the button. One talked about a known fix involving opening the console and putting a small piece of electrical tape under part of the button. Pretty sure you can find something on the youtubes about it

 

Yea it's the original early launch system not the Pro/Slim. I've also looked up videos on YT and there's few different fixes I see. Don't really wanna open up the system and probably will just trade it in for the Pro/Slim and let GameStop deal with it.

This shits sorta funny to me as my 360 recently just crapped out and can't read any games/disc too. My luck!

 

Hey, does anyone know what this Mafia Remastered is all about? I saw it at Walmart today and was intrigued.

 

From what I've read, it seems to be more in line of a remake in the visual and audio departments, while only slightly remade in the story. It seems to be the same game with, with new dialogue and a few more missions to do. I don't know if there's any new collectables to gather, like is sometimes the case with a remaster. Release wise, in North America, the physical is just the first game, while online also has Mafia II Definitive and Mafia III Definitive. I'm still a dinosaur who likes physical stuff, so for that reason there, I won't be getting it myself.

 

Mafia is a full remake, Mafia 2 is a remaster and Mafia 3 is a complete edition.

 

I've never payed the original Mafia, so is it worth it just for the first game? That's BS about II and III though.

 

I'm afraid I don't know, since I haven't played the first one either. That's one reason I was looking into this collection, was to be able to get and play the first three.

 

OK, another question...

I’ve read a lot about Nier Automata and how good it’s supposed to be. The video reviews I’ve seen are promising. However, I just can’t shake the feeling I wouldn’t like it, since games like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta, and even Transformers Devastation just don’t hold my interest. God of War (the original game series, I haven’t played the remake) was pretty good.

Anyway, so what does everyone here think of it? Worth the hype or overrated?
