Wish they would release a set in Diaclone colors  

 

Same - I'm dyin' for a Diaclone set!

 

sigh, been on the fence for months with these. finally gave in and took the plunge in picking up the toon version.  

 

Ooooooooo . . . tracking shows they’re set to arrive tonight.

Watching that package track has become crazy addictive.

They are really really small. Appropriately bug small. I’ve only transformed Bombshelter after I found him the most difficult to pose . . . but his weevil mode doesn’t sit flat enough. Gonna wait on the bug modes for Dropkick and Splinter til this weekend.

 

oh wow, what version is that??? NA killed it with alt mode!!!  

 

These guys were my gateway drug into legends scale collecting and I have been thirsting for more!

it was the NA carbots (jazz and datsons to be specific) that got me into legend.

 

This may not be the official transformation but this is what I do to remedy that: rotate the forearms so that the wrist blasters face each other instead of the floor, and then rotate the hands so they can still grip the posts/pegs  

 

That just makes him lean back more, doesn't it? You gotta EXTEND the wrist blasters while they're pointing at the ground to level him out.

 

Ah, you were thinking of Shrapnel. The weight of his legs pulls his back end down a touch even with the arm blasters extended properly. Storing his gun in the back of his foot deeply offends my preference for symmetry . . . I really wish he had a second gun.

Pegging Bombshell’s hands into the tabs of his opened leg panels and rotating his forearms inward towards each other makes him stable. His alt mode is the least fiddly to get looking right and nothing moves around when picking him up and putting him down.

Ert . . . just like you said.

Kickback’s alt is the more somewhat posable, by far . . . and even though he really has the ‘robot doing yoga’ look, the arms swinging down from the shoulders and forming an abdomen is a massive improvement upon the original figure. It’d be nice if the front four legs were more present, I think they look too small.

Overall, though, I’m quite happy with the bugs, and impressed with the bots. Looking forward to placing them alongside some bigger bots. I think maybe they will scale nicely at a range of sizes.

I’m still surprised at just how small they are. I don’t think they’re even 3”.

Jazz showed up today. One more Autobot riding him like a skateboard and I can recreate the end of A Plague of Insecticons. Giggity.

 

thx guys. i have a set of transparent on the way too. but it comes with solid chest pieces.   might cobble them even more with the toon set for fun, we'll see!  

also just placed my order for NA H22D reflector toy too. hopefully this eBay seller comes through and i get a proper set vs some KO lego minifig again!  

 

that would be super fudged. i didn't realize you got the lego fig...lol

they look even cooler when their small size is exaggerated even more with oversized up scales!  

 

got my set of translucent yest with solid chests. thanks to @FredVIII for hooking me up.   i quite like the solid chest look, think i prefer it to the all clear in fact. makes them look very similar to the toon version.



time for some more fun… bug brawls
