I just tried a reissue Rumble Frenzy in Walmart Blaster ... fits fine for me?

 

I only just realized that this is already the third Hasbro reissue of Blaster...

 

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. I just pulled out my tapes and they fit in there fine. Eject is a little hard to slide in because his parts splay outwards (due to transformation) so you have to sort of squeeze him into a proper tape to slide him in all the way, but that's his fault not Blasters (I tried with my other two blasters and he's the same way in them, one of which is a G1 version). Steeljaw slides in with no problem at all.

So whoever can't fit tapes in likely just has a Blaster that has a bent inside part, or something.

And Rewind still gets the shaft...

 

The black plastic piece on my Blaster figure was stuck too. I ended up chipping off a small piece trying to get it to collapse.

I assume that this is because the Blaster mold has some key things going for it.

It is one of a relatively limited selection of G1 molds that are available

It is a counterpart to the Soundwave reissue that many nostalgic Wal-Mart shoppers bought last year

Blaster is a fairly popular, well liked character.

Sales of this figure would drive the sale of tape reissues (just as it was intended to sell tapes as accessories when it premiered in the 80s)

Also, it’s a relatively large, brightly colored figure that is also simple and likely relatively cheap to produce.

And....Didn't it win the fan vote?

 

I really want those tapes for Blaster!

 

I found one of these yesterday using Brickseek so I cancelled my preorder on Walmart.com that kept getting pushed out. Walmart.com seems like such a disater.

 

I concur walmart is a mess, I decided to order online and was pushed back as well. So I walked into the store today and whole shelf full of them.....Unreal

 

Found Blaster at my local Walmart, $36 as expected (our Walmarts adds an additional 20% to most TF figures, I call it the extra boat ride tax). Anyway, this is the first time I've messed with this toy. Never had one as a kid and I did know one kid that had one but he never let me play with his toys.

 

Man I'm canceling my pre order. He's literally in stock at EVERY Walmart in the Cleveland area smh. I'm picking mine up when I get off work in less than 10 min. Smh...

 

I was going to do the same, but when I went to the store that showed 6+ in stock, they didn’t have it out yet.

Wondering if someone that works for Walmart can confirm when it’s supposed to be displayed? Some stores just put it out but many in my area wait until the prescribed time, floor set etc.

 

Just lazy workers.

Me too! We got Soundwave and his tapes - Blaster needs them too! It's not like they haven't made them before. Plus Rewind is just Eject in different colours. Come on Hasbro!

Picket up my Blaster this morning at my local Northwest Indiana Walmart.

 

Walmart.ca has them in stock. Price is only $39.99 CAD, which is a steal for us Canadians who usually get our prices jacked up for no good reason. Just ordered one. Great way to start off the weekend.
