I watched a recent review of the RED Optimus on YouTube and, almost right away, I knew I’d be passing on this line. The plastic texture was described as slimy and I noticed the smokestacks and antenna had wilted. I don’t really want to buy figures reminiscent of that soft, rubbery safety plastic that I’ve grown to detest the last 10 years.

Glad I kept my ex-gokin Optimus. Just wish they made a Megatron to go with him...

I wanna see a customizer do some heavy modding and make one of these things transform just to say they did it. Who would be the easiest ? Soundwave ? Prime ?

Lack of painted details is no bueno. That ER Prime just blows RED Prime out of the water

You’re not wrong. I watched a YouTube review of the RED figures. According to the reviewer, they have a slimy feel to them, like a film of some sort. His copy of Optimus Prime had an antennae and smoke stack that were both warped. It seems like they’re made out of some sort of rubbery plastic, which is weird.

Yeah, I think I’ll go the Furai model instead of this.

Do these actually transform, or are they just cheap statues?

If I found one, I wonder if it can be reviewed in the Feedback and Review Forum. Can it Mods?

I agree with you even the Gundam Universe line seems to do a better job than Hasbro. I feel they are 10 years too late, especially looking at it next the Voyager Earthrise Prime. I'll probably get it tho......

    Transformers that don't transform.

    What's the point?

Same problem as when they tried this around ROTF. there are limitations to what you can do with a transforming figure, but when these things are actually inferior to the transforming version I really can't see much point. I own some fantastic non transforming transformers (mostly movie stuff), but they've all traded transformation for really superior detail, paint, etc.

These just look mediocre (and the picture next to the transforming Prime really highlights that there is no advantage here).

The only advantage I could see is if they were super articulated, used premium materials, and painted head to toe. But this is not the case, this is just dollar-store crap.

If you look at any Threezero or Flame Toys figures, you will see the point. But these? They aren't any better than a mainline toy and those toys actually do more than these.

These had potential, but the final product looks terrible.
