I ordered another Pluto from BBTS as well. Mine came with one joint replacement as well.

I got this figure when it first came out. Sold all my WfC and FoC stuff last year but decided I needed Op and Meg back. So I got this guy today from BBTS and I got shafted a hole cover for his arm. Weird that I got two covers for his right arm. They aren’t compatible which is kind of a bummer. Also, they included an extra sprue sheet for the leg holes. I’m not even going to bother trying to get that hole filler piece. Slapped a tampo on his chest and he’s good to go 01D5C2C8-D307-42B5-9C7D-BC4FD986A77E.jpeg A42BB168-FBE4-4E9F-8444-46C9410F84A6.jpeg D4CB683A-D136-47CB-8516-0AA4FFA5DA4C.jpeg E975E694-F31F-49B0-B354-BE79F43DBD44.jpeg

So I was thinking of getting this guy as hes on sale at bats for 80 right now. But I see he has some assembly and parts issues? Should I go for it ir is it too risky? Cause I DC not under as my circumstances want a dud.

I don't have one because he is notorious for breakage in the legs. He has clear plastic joints and they crack on some people's copy

My first contact with 3rd party figures was Planet X Vulcan (Grimlock) four or five years ago, I don't remember properly. But In that time I sold all my Hasbro FOC figures because I wanted that Grimlock, but suddenly sold out... one or two years later my wife gave me a figure for christmas... It was Grimlock Metallic Edition!! my first 3rd party figure... and it came with LOTS of QC issues; bad assembly, broken pieces, paint chipping, scratches, tight joints (and stuck...), it was a total disappointment but I've been able to fix everything. At today I keep the figure on my collection because the aesthetic is brutal and very very videogame accurate... but I promised me never to add again a Planet X figure on my collection, all those QC issues weren't normal for an very expensive figure...

You got one hell of a lemon. Vulcan is one of their better figures QC-wise. For you to get such that fig so faulty is odd to me (note: it's not like PX hasn't had their bad moments with badly made figs). Why didn't you get a replacement fig?

Because it was a gift from my wife. On that times it was very difficult to find the figure, the only I know is that she paid a lot of shipping costs on RobotKingdom and the pieces stucked or broken were not easy to replace. It was my first 3rd party figure, I did know nothing related to this world of KO and 3rd party... and I really wanted that figure. I'm very capable of fixing figures, so, I didn't want to let her pass through claims and emails. I was happy anyway, but I won't buy never a Planet X figure again.

A shame. Robot Kingdom is pretty good regarding replacing faulty product. The only downside is the wait time due to shipping back & forth overseas. PX has had their flops (Triton comes to mind), but they also have incredible ones. Asclepius (Perceptor) is their most underrated figure and I've heard tons of praises regarding Ismenios (Deathsaurus) as well as handling one in hand. Again, sorry you had that bad experience with them, but I wouldn't let that one bad egg that got through the cracks dampen your experience. Penas que no vives cerca de mi. Te hubiera mostrado mi coleccion de figuras por PX a primera mano.

:thumb  I really wanted to buy Optimus, Megatron and Starscream, but I have spent my money in other figures. Thanks.

My Pluto broke. Literally picked up up and the leg was like, "I'm out son."

I bought some of the very first run. Had no replacement parts.

Anyone have extras of the replacement parts they would sell?

Have they fixed any of the issues with successive runs of the figures? I’m tempted to buy one because I love the aesthetic of the Cybertron series.

The recent posts here indicate that they've included replacement parts for the hips. I personally only display my figures and bought mine used off ebay for about $89 and it's held itself together and looks quite well in my display although the lack of paint like on the metallic Jupiter is a drawback. I was just finally glad to get a FOC figure of him. I think he's worth it imo

Yeah the replacements are something that seem to have fixed the problem for the most part. I have their Perceptor and I’ve been impressed with him. Though Megatron’s QC turned me off from purchasing their other products.

crossing my fingers for a metallic version or even a black re paint ( with better leg joints )
sadly my Megs leg broke, and is glued together and he stands in robot form
which sucks for me because I really enjoy transforming my figures

going to see if I can use joints in another bot to replace also lego has ratchet joints with a similar look to megs joints that could be some sort of option

I honestly thought he was black in design up until this release. The lighting in the game was dark. But I don’t think we’ll be seeing any figures from them soon. From what I’ve seen their last FOC releases were Ratchet and Ironhide last year, and I haven’t seen anything since.

Just ordered this. My second Planet X figure. Looking forward to him. Thinking about adding a dab of glue to the back spikes as I've read tht they are bastards for staying put.
