Wait, Dean, you don’t have MP-19+? Does... not... compute... Seriously, this is up there with my favourite MPs, even though - and I say this as a huge Snokescreen fan - I found the original MP-19 massively disappointing. It’s amazing what a new headsculpt and some colour tweaks can do. I was always a bit underwhelmed with the Datsun mould, and then the + versions of Bluestreak and Smokescreen totally changed my mind. The mould may be a bit hoary now, but damn I love these recent + versions.

And what’s with the Sunstreaker reissue - you picked up the original; surely you didn’t get rid of it?

 

I ordered from Surethingtoys back in January.

January. My patience has worn out.

Sent them an email today saying I want an exact ship date or my money back.

Has anyone received MP-19+ from Surethingtoys?

Got my money refunded today from Surethingtoys. I contacted them three days ago (second time) to cancel.

 

So nobody got their toy from them?

 

I cancelled surething as well about 2 or 3 weeks ago because I found someone selling him on a facebook group. When I asked about the preorder before I ended up canceling, they told me that their distributors is where th the holdup is and that they were seeking alternative suppliers to help fulfill orders till they receive their main shipment.

 

I cancelled mine way back in March or April ordered from TFsourse and within 7 days was a happy camper. IDGF about whats going on now, theres no way in hell they should not have their stock by now. As Ive stated before they still had Wheeljack + on pre-order back whe I cancelled my MP-19+ and he had been out for a year already and before the whole COVID crap. They need to just be upfront and tell folks theyre not ever getting it in, and refund all pre-orders for said item.

 

Yeah, I won't ever buy from Surethingtoys again.

I also cancelled my mp19+ with Surethingtoys, which they promptly refunded. I have bought 3 neca TMNT from them in separate orders, and they always shipped items out asap. I like them a lot. They're prices were cheaper than everyone, and they ship usps priority mail. I'm disappointed in them not gettin mp19+, but I wouldn't write them off completely.

 

Well, I've just cancelled my SureThingToys order and the refund is processing. As soon as I have the refund I'll be ordering from a retailer who has Smokescreen in stock.

I'm disappointed that I had to cancel but in my latest email exchange with them they said they had one MP-19+ left with dinged corners on the box. They said I could have it if that didn't matter, then when I accepted they said it had already been claimed by someone else. Then they said there's going to be another production run on these and they expect to have more in January 2021.

I'll still give them the benefit of the doubt that they got screwed on this due to the pandemic, etc. but it really does seem strange that everyone else was able to fulfill preorders without this huge and apparently continuous delay. I wonder, did anyone here receive an MP-19+ from SureThingToys?

 

Update:
Finally got my MP-19+ after what seems like a year long wait. Surethingtoys.com just got their shipment in and they’re in stock at $75, shipping included.

This Smokescreen is as gorgeous as everyone says. Rich thick paint and that beautiful new head: what a difference! His new head is slightly smaller than the old head, which gives him a heroic appearance. Sadly for me, I got stung by the QC demon and ended up with a tiny air bubble on the paint of the smiley face, right below the eye. It’s the face I was going to display, so I’ll need to smooth it off and repaint it. Aside from that, the smoke effect really makes the figure. It’s my favorite effects part to date, with it’s matte finish. He looks like he just ran pass a cloud of dust. He’s handsome and full of personality. I’m comparing my MP19+ to the original and everything works and looks better. The shoulder blasters are smaller and better proportioned than the bigger ones and they fully integrate into the transformation. Of all the + repaints, this was the one I was wishing for. Go treat yourself.

 

Wow, so they finally came through! I ended up cancelling my order with them and was going to buy one from TF Source but ended up needing the money. Maybe I'll buy from Surething with my next paycheck now that he's actually in stock there.

Yeah, a little touch up and good as new. Already done. It’s hard to enjoy this hobby if we don’t learn to do a little paint touch up or minor repair here or there. S’all good.

 

Just out of curiosity, is this the hasbro or takara release?

 

The one with the black box that says MP-19+ in giant letters with a Takara Tomy box inside, and it came with a pin. To get it without the black box, you’d have to order directly from the Takara Tomy mall.
