So small and cute! Definitely getting my hands on this. And he looks great without even any paint added!

I actually think he could fit in with SS perfectly. Bee is only supposed to be 10ft tall, which means that if you put him next to shatter he should only be up to her abdomen area. But yeah you're right even if it doesn't fit perfectly this bee is best as a small guy regardless. And if not then he can be on his own and fit in your pocket!

 

Actually, isn't this official scale since all Bumblebee characters were supposed to be marginally smaller than the bay versions. IE: Optimus is more deluxe height, bee is more legends.

 

Did an Osko come out of Jeep bee?

I’d have to go measure mine, but there is no way the studio series was 6 inches.

I missed the osko (if in fact this is that).

 

Oh, I think they meant the bigger Bumblebee model that Trumpeter is releasing; I think the Jeep Bee is closer to 5 inches?

 

Does anywhere online have this kit for preorder besides Show-Z?

I emailed HLJ asking if they’ll carry this line. I sure hope so.

 

I haven't ordered anything from HLJ in years. How are their shipping costs these days?

Also, sorry for being an idiot, but is this showz link for the smaller bee or the larger one? If it's for the smaller one then that's a bit more expensive than I'd hoped, but I want the smaller one more since it will scale well with other stuff.

It does technically scale with Bayverse Studio Series. BB Prime should be like Deluxe heigh and BB Bumblebee should be legends size.

 

Their shipping prices are about standard for Japanese sites I find. And yeah, the Show.Z link is for the small Bumblebee, which is a lot for such a tiny kit. It’s why I was hoping HLJ would get it, and that they’d have it for cheaper.

 

HLJ would probably have it for around $15 right? Just want to know if the shipping would cancel out the savings but most likely it will be cheaper.

 

I have no idea what HLJ would carry it for. A HLJ rep got back to me asking for a link to the model in question, so I sent them the official Trumpeter website page for it. Haven't heard back yet but I forgot to check my emails so it's pretty late in Japan now.

 

Cool let us know what they say! I've gotten showz to carry a couple items by sending them info.

 

Will do! HLJ to me would be the best case scenario, since it'd make it all the more likely that the other characters would be made. (not a guarantee, but the lax news on this Bumblebee has me concerned that it might be a one-and-done due to lack of interest)

 

Here’s HLJ’s response. A bit of a non-answer, and sadly confirms that the line was never intended to be carried.  

Hopefully though they do decide to pick them up. Maybe if enough people show interest.

That's a bummer. Seems like a model kit's chances of being sold are very low if it's not made by bandai. I don't wanna pay $31 for this on showz (price + shipping).

 

Or Flame Toys. They seem to be pumping out TF kits every year so I'm assuming they're doing well. They're on an IDW kick but I feel like there's a chance they might pick up on movie characters when next film releases to ride the movie wave. They should of been the ones making these kits in the first place. I remember I emailed Trumpeter about BB movie kits a while back and they straight up never responded. Their customer service doesn't seem that great.

 

Oh yeah I forgot about FT since they only do G1/IDW stuff. I would love it if they did movie stuff! And yeah, I've seen their kits in stores and online so it's sad to not see trumpeter anywhere.
