Getting off the FT Stunticon train, if so why, just curious?

Doubt it. DX9 has just one to go, and it's scheduled for December. I'm betting on FT getting Dragstrip out before that, but the US stores haven't even started taking preorders for Dead End and I don't think he'll release until next year.

FT could totally beat XTB, though.

Anyway... on my short list of "I need to see it NOW" at the upcoming 3rd party reveals is colored shots of Bandit. I hope that they get his red (maroon?) colors just right.

 

Tfsource just got a case of iceman and magnum. Interesting how they trickle supply in... to keep the prices high

 

Honest question. When/how did this urban legend of TFS manipulating the prices of FT figures get started? Wouldn't the manufacturer (i.e. FT) be the one controlling the supply, and therefore, the price of their products?

 

Sick pic. How did you keep the truck cab from flipping down from gravity? Does your copy just have more friction on those joints?

 

TFSource has been caught in the past holding supply back. They were notorious during the FansProject day. "Warehouse find", they used to call it. All of us just LOLed through such an obvious ploy.

 

Either way, even jacked up it's a chance to get it, so I'm taking it. Got my preorder in for spoiler at A3U so now I'm caught up.

 

Interesting thing is. A week or two ago Tfsource got a case (10) of roadking, terminus, goose, hoodlum, and koot all took a week and sold out.

They could have got a restock from fanstoys but of that many figures and now magnum and iceman. No other vendor got a restock. Exactly 10 of each, 10 is how many is in a case from Factory.

There are screws that can be tightened to stiffen that area. I think they are visible if the cab is still split in half.

 

I suppose it's possible that they may hold on to stock of FTs figures to sell them later at higher prices. It's not a great look, but it's basic free market economics. And, at the end of the day, if folks weren't still buying them at the higher prices, it would not be possible for them to do it. I just read elsewhere in the threads that they're supposedly forcing other retailers to increase their prices. I don't understand how that's supposed to work...
