What's with people saying Bumblebee is bad as a reboot?

    That makes sense. Started as a prequel, switched gears with some alterations to a reboot.

    Yeah it’s because it was so obviously supposed to be a prequel (you can even tell this from the behind-the-scenes material which must have been shot before it was changed to a reboot lol). It’s a fine movie, but they really should have just left it as a prequel, called it a day, and did a proper reboot in a few years.

    It feels way more like a prequel than a reboot. Especially with Bee becoming a Camero at the end very obviously being set-up for his meeting with Sam. And I don’t want it to be a reboot because I absolutely hate how they keep making new versions of Bumblebee unable to speak. It’s fine when it’s just one universe, but I don’t want that to become the character’s defining trait. That said, I would like Charlie to come back and the easiest way to do that would be with a reboot

    Eh. Realistically, I still think the question of whether BB is a prequel or a reboot is going to end up being a moot point (if it isn't already).
