Gotcha, I mostly tuned out for Combiner Wars so I wasn't aware we got new guys there, and Slash slipped my mind entirely, my bad!  Still, I'm glad to see a more steady stream of new faces than occasional one-offs added into existing teams, even if we only get like three or four of these guys going off how many weaponizers we've gotten per-installment of WFC

I think all of the Fossilizers are new characters.

I believe one of the fossilisers is a pteradon-based one named "Wingfinger" I hope this helps

SS86 is full of possibilities, there were so many characters in that film that by incorporating it, HTT ensures they won't run out of SS material for a long time to come.

I'm curious about this rumored SS86 Starscream, it will likely be very different from ER Starscream.

That's some serious disrespect to my guy Rook.

    And Slash. She's great, too.

Well in my opinion the last trilogy was Hasbro experimenting on how to shift over to a more adult and collector based fanbase. And the new WFC trilogy is Hasbro implementing what they learned. Particularly with Hasbro Pulse and the Generations Selects line (which is basically WFC repaints) Im not saying kids dont play with toys, but the numbers are definitely dwindling. All I ever see mostly in the action figure aisles are grown men. And the way they read the backs of the cards and take their time doing so, you can tell they aint shopping for their kids. I would go as far as saying kids are almost becoming the guise to sell action figures to adults. It was never supposed to be that way, but it is the unintended consequence of "throwback" toy lines. and the rise of personal electronic devices combined. Kids are finding ways to grow up quicker while grown men are having flashbacks of their youth.

That is kind of a shame. I have really fond memories of growing up on Animated and early Bayverse stuff. It’s too bad that kids may not have that same chance. It’s clear that Hasbro is trying to adapt to the modern era with Cyberverse, but I don’t know if it really worked. Kids deserve good stories and good figures to go along with them. I’d honestly like to see the sales figures for some of those gimmick figures

Really hope those yellow knee joints on Hot Rod aren't final or can be swiveled around or something like that.
What an odd/careless place to drop the ball on a figure like this. Honestly, there should be no need for yellow plastic,
even the tail spoiler can just be painted like TR or like on the MP. Can't wait to see what accessories he comes with,
maybe we'll finally get the "energon goodie" canister or even something weird like a fish to go with his fishing rod :lol
I could see some pipe laser effect pieces too, maybe we'll even get his laser sword from when he was Luke Skywalker-ing
    that drone on the ship.

I've been thinking about all the leaks and what I want from them. If I had more disposable income I would certainly go for each and every one of them, but I don't so characters I don't have or whose figure isn't that great, I prioritize.

I know this is extremely early, but I would certainly want to experience the new molds in some way, shape of form, like for example ER Optimus or the Seekers (waited for Dead Prime and Coneheads respectively for thosr cases). So, I'm thinking about pottential Selects repaints before getting the regular version, for example, skip Warpath who I'm not 100% into and get the green repaint inspired by a Gobot, whose name escapes me.

Would like to do the same for this Kup and Hot Rod, however, since these guys are Studio Series, that lowers the chances of GS repaints, since to date all Selects releases have been from POTP and WFC. Maybe being G1 continuity helps SS cross that frontier, but the way I see it, this batch of new figures maybe don't have as much as repaint potential as say the Siege and ER figures. Hopefully I'm wrong (or better yet I get a lot of more disposable income so I don't have to limit myself as much :D )

I reckon 2022 SS lineup is gonna be split up three ways- bayverse, 86 and the new movie. I wouldn't count on the entire new movie lineup getting toys in the first year, look how long it took a good shatter, dropkick and blitzwing to reach ss. honestly wouldn't mind if they stop with the concept art toys

I do actually suspect I'll be far more annoyed at that shellforming Arcee in the display than the dirty Springer. Hell, you won't even be able to see Springer behind the car she's wearing on her back.

I'll get Hot Rod. Not sure about Kup. Commander -class Rodimus would be a pass.

Hey, at least it's removable this time.

With G1 arcee's design, it can't really be avoided; the two best vaguely G1-esque arcees are the ones that deviate the most: TR Arcee and TFA Arcee. The best way to make an arcee design is to move past the G1 design and make parts of the car into a PART of the robot.

It's not about size, rather the engineering and amount of plastic. I'm hoping for a near MP level bot with a very intricate trailer, since it's supposed to have a bunch of armaments similar to the original toy.

I feel this is part of wave 1 Studio Series 2021.

Which leaves us with 3 to 4 more Deluxes, 1 more Voyager and 2 Leaders.

Grimlock and Slag are the Leaders, Scourge is the other voyager, and Jazz, Blurr, and I think Dino/Mirage (just kinda some actual bay movie thing) are the deluxes.
