Dont get me wrong, i see a market for it. There will be plenty of offerings that have a more tech feel and less organic. Please encourage all your friends to buy the hell out of this stuff so we can see other offshoots of the concept see the light of day.

Is studio series just Movieline chug? If I have a hot rod in mp, chug, and now studio series is the only difference suppose to be size?

No joke, I'd be perfectly fine with that. It'd allow for a lot of options for customs.

 

I'm hoping we'll get a leader class Rodimus Prime that transforms into a truck. And by that I mean a Rodimus that transforms into a truck as a whole like DX9 Carry, instead of a separate trailer that attaches onto the car like MP09.

But basing of previous SS figures, if we do actually get a Leader Class Rodimus Prime, it'll probably be just the voyager Hot Rod that comes with an attachable trailer like SS DOTM Optimus.

 

Haha. Actually, come to think of it; Earthrise Arcee's whole back portion of her alt mode is one huge part former....hmm. It's highly possible that partsforming will be a continuing trend for these new Studio Series 86 toyline...

 

That image with the T-Rex Fossilizer looks sick man! I bet they could sell some of the Fossilizers, the 1986 movie Dinobots, Beast Wars Dinobots, or probably both in many museum gift shops. Perhaps their could be museum gift shop exclusives.

Honestly, I’d rather that than to not have the option for door wings at all.

Even better if they pulled a Downbeat and just made them able to fold down. Man, I love that figure.

 

.....This being rumored to be a Voyager could result in HasTak putting their foot in their mouths. Especially if the rumors of Rodimus stealing next year's only Commander class spot is true.

The PRO is that this 86' SS Hotrod mold could also be a possible Lockdown retool as well. Which would explain why Hotrod is a Voyager class to begin with.

The CON is that I don't think I need both a Voyager Hotrod and a Commander class Rodimus. I'd just repurpose Voyager class Hotrod as my personal Rodimus without the "PRIME" added at the end. And if there's a decent Leader class Rodimus, I wouldn't need a Voyager class Hotrod.

But they could still make use of that mold with a Lockdown retool as I've stated earlier.
