This seems to contradict everyone's experience in this thread. Just saying.

It's either an outright lie from him, or it was a lie from the multiple customer service reps and even "higher ups" speaking to the multiple individual customers, including myself. Either way, it's a lie.

Yeah there’s been an issue with some of the customer service people giving incorrect info. They work in Salt Lake, and a lot of times they’re talking in terms of what’s arrived to the Salt Lake warehouse. It never says in stock before it’s in one of our warehouses. It just doesn’t. Regardless, customer service isn’t communicating accurately or handling concerns like refunds accurately, which is why we’re overhauling that. People being told we don’t have something in stock when we do is infuriating. No excuse for it, but I know it’s happened numerous times.

Honestly I feel like I could explain all the why’s until I’m blue in the face and it still isn’t going to change anyone’s perceptions. We just need to deliver the goods and fix the systems. I’m confident everyone will be seeing both imminently. Until then, people that are skeptical will be and that’s fine and understandable. I hope I’ve helped answer some questions and given some clarity. Either way, we have to show it. That’s where our focus is.

If you people really want to make things right and be helpful, REFUND everyone's money who has requested it IMMEDIATELY. No excuses, no BS, I don't care if it's Saturday. Go in and start giving these people the refund they asked for, not tomorrow, not next week, not in some vague point in the future, IMMEDIATELY.

Also, the other guy said this,

That's one of the most arrogant statements I've ever read. It's like we're a bunch of homeless Oliver Twist orphans huddled over a fire under a bridge, cooking a shoe for dinner that we took off the rotting corpse of a Plague victim, and you toss us a Schilling so we can buy something that more closely resembles food, so we can save the Plague shoe for dinner tomorrow. Thank you gov'nor. We are eternally grateful for your kindness gov'nor. Would you care for a bite of Plague shoe gov'nor?

Also, here's a thought, if you're so far behind on shipping that previous orders are piling up, STOP TAKING NEW ORDERS until you've shipped out all the previous ones. Personally, I don't think you're going to do any of this, and like I said, I don't believe for 1 second that my Scorponok will ship out this coming week.

LOL, somebody thinks Embarrassment Earth actively addresses their issues? Wow, they should do stand-up or at least be offered a sitcom deal. God damn, that company is utterly ridiculous with bad reviews up the wazoo.

    Ebay:
ZenBenjo has written me about a refund.
I really do hope that I receive it and we can put this behind us.

On a side note, I would recommend the owners of Megalopolis look into the history of a company (that was actually just 1 guy) called 88mph Studios.

He made a Transformers Art Book (called Transformers: Genesis) as well as a short series of Ghostbusters comic books in the early to mid '00s.

He was an example of someone who got in over their heads with TWO(!!!) licenses (Transformers and Ghostbusters) and had no idea what he was doing. I know this, because I had art in the Genesis Art Book personally. I was one of the very few to actually be paid, but countless others did not get paid. Fans who ordered that book as well as his Ghostbusters books also were left with delays after delays after delays and a lot of lost money.

I know you guys are making your own licensed toys now, so it might be some good historic reading so you don't end up in the same position as he did (broke and having to self exile himself from collectors).

Because right now its all feeling very familiar to me.
Again, I hope we can put this behind us soon.

I have received my refund notice via email. I'm sure it will take a few days to clear since its the weekend, but this is all I ever wanted in the first place, man.

    Thank you!

That will be difficult as much of the discussion was disappeared after Sebastien paid off the right people.

    EDIT:
F these people. They are crooks and liars. There are also a few websites that look just like Megalopolis toys website. They're probably trying to move to other sites since people are catching on that they are crooks. I'll list the sites when I see them again.

I do hope the company can recover from this and make right for those that have been wronged. Unfortunately for some, myself included, the damage is done.
Personally, my issues with Megalopolis happened long before the pandemic, so as a result I'll be sticking with the seller options that are tried and true and haven't caused me problems.

Discount prices on figures are the only really big reason to switch from my reliable retailers I’m super tempted by Burning convoy with damaged box but I think I’m gonna hold off it, isn’t that great looking to begin with but it is beast wars and was tempting price.

BS you can apply if you meet these few bullet points.

All of the following must be true of your company in order to qualify for the 2020 Inc. 5000. Your company must:
    1. Have generated revenue by March 31, 2016
    2. Have generated at least $100,000 in revenue in 2016*
    3. Have generated at least $2 million in revenue in 2019*
    4. Be privately held, for profit; based in the U.S., and independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company).
Is there a fee to apply for the Inc. 5000?

Yes. There is a nonrefundable processing fee for all applicants. The early rate application fee is $195 until April 17 at 11:59 PM PST. After April 17th, the application fee is $245 until May 22, 2020. Identifying the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. is an enormous editorial project that, among other things, raises awareness of entrepreneurship as a valuable force in our economy. The processing fee covers only a portion of the operational costs of this undertaking.

All the stories of them taking money for items and not shipping them for months sounds like they got a nice little money laundering or a form of a Ponzi scheme going on. Probably fronting sales to get a few toy licenses under their company name by falsifying sales numbers. I’ve seen nothing but stories of them being 2-3 months behind in shipping on different outlets on FB and different message boards or review sites. Stories of them shipping out boxes of incomplete orders then claiming they were out of stock and never issued refunds. How do you get to where you are over a month, and in some cases 2+ months, behind on shipping orders and not take any actions to rectify the situation before now?

It's either they are knowingly taking orders for "in-stock or hot-off-the-truck" items that they do not have in hand and refusing refunds or ignoring customer emails to bankroll their investments or they bit off more than they can chew and in way over their heads.

    Just my thoughts.

Yeah, they are refusing to refund my money as well. Giving that bullshit excuse about not canceling an order that is in-stock that hasn't even shipped yet. Then charging a re-stock fee for an item that hasn't been shipped. Hey ZenBenjo, REFUND MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY!!!! F these people. We'll see if they actually refund Dusty's money and he actually gets it. REFUND MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

UPDATE: Got an email saying my money was being refunded. So, maybe everything will be OK after all.

I also call BS on "we ship 2-3 TRAILERS of product per day". Total bullshit. I worked in logistics, and they're trying to say they ship 60+ PALLETS of product every day? No freaking way.

Nothing but lies from this company, full stop.

I hope everyone here gets what they're owed back after all of this garbage. None of you should've had to suffer for MONTHS to get what you paid for. This is asinine and despicable and unconscionable.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA They said they ship 2-3 trailers of product per day? There's no fucking way they do that with their Rep. That's probably more than BBTS, EE, TCP, TD, A3U combined.

That's what their Rep claimed on Saturday. Again, I call the most massive bullshit possible on that claim.

Hello, I am new here and just want to ask a question, three weeks ago I ordered a figure from megalopolis, well, one week went by, so I called them because they charged my card but my figure did not ship. The lady told me COVID19 caused a delay, but my order was going to ship Tuesday the 8th because they had caught up with the orders, well nothing happened, I emailed them but got no response, so another week goes by. So today I called, and this is where my question begins, the lady on the phone said they had a power outage that caused nothing to ship out last week, and so my fellow figure collectors, my bullmess detector just went off, and this is where you guys come in, am I being lied to? I just need y'alls opinion, am I screwed out of my money, and the company is just lying to me with an excuse, or is this the slowest company in history.
