After thinking it over, I decided to cancel my pre-order.

 

Loving this and hating it too, weird I know, it's just they get everything pretty much perfect then totally mess up the face!! They did the same with Dragoon which is why I haven't picked him up, well that and I was sure they were going to do a weathered version but now I just learned this is their last figure   that's not going to happen...

 

You're missing out on a 10 out of 10 figure for no reason. The face is fine in person and if you don't like it, he has the mask.

 

The face on this Galvatron is quite accurate to the movie. It's just that the movie design is the same way: pretty awesome except for the hideous goofy face.

 

Did they say anything about putting a LED in the chest hole?

 

This guy should come with an OP "inspired" head. Remember the Stanley Tucci character saying that they had tried building this guy in the image of Prime?

Ah. Well fair enough there. But yeah, sculpt to a lot of people is important. I also ended up skipping on dragoon because the sculpt work from UT just ends up being under detailed and soft.

 

Don't get me wrong, I love UT's movieverse figures, I own 2 Peru Kills and the AOE/TLK OP; I was really excited about Dragoon and still like him but I was disappointed in how unaggressive he seems to look in promo and collectors' pics, I've got the last version of the Black Mamba KO/upgraded TLK Megatron and he certainly has the aggressive look I want. I'll probably still pic Dragoon up but have more hope that they will release a weathered version as they have a BD/weathered version of their Prime on preorder I noticed yesterday.

 

Is battle-damaged Challenger up for PO anywhere yet?

About Galvatron, his design is giving me slight Baroque or Hans Arnold vibes. My kid says he has pretty eyes, too

He looks much better in person. You won't regret it. It's magic.

I did get him eventually, nice but needs custom paint to bring out the details. Still not sure about the face but better than I had first thought.
I preordered the Galvatron even after the cut off date but the deposit was only £1 so I don't know how seriously they are taking this release will actually happen.

 

It's surprising we haven't gotten in-package shots or something, considering their goal was to get it out by the end of 2020. I'm gonna go ahead and set my expectations for end of january 2021 instead, maybe feb.

 

Let's keep "upvoting" so that UT commits...overcome their fears.  

 

iirc UT said this will be their last release, right? hopefully they're taking their time to make this gud
