This is my first time seeing that Magnus design. Holy hell that's bad, so bad even the talent of Roche can't make it look good.

Mattel lost the rights to DC. McFarlane has the rights to collector grade action figures based on comics, movies, and video games between 6 and 12 inches. Spinmasters has the rights to kid oriented action figures and roleplay toys. There is no master license.

I think the Jeep should be the Bumblebee movie Jeep. Willys Jeep vs the Jeep Sahara but I've seen a custom on the boards that looks great.

Since is D.C. is owned by WB, technically Hasbro would just need to get WB's permission and market a 1989 Batman Batmobile Transformer as an adult collectible?

True, but WB would have to make sure any deal with Hasbro does not violate their deal with McFarlane and Spinmasters, or Hasbro would have to work with one of those companies.

Bummer, well hopefully Hasbro will do a one time deal with WB and give a Batmobile one day. I mean, LEGO has been producing sets for both Marvel and DC simultaneously for years now so I hold out at least a glimmer of hope haha. I\'m curious, what other 80\'s or 90\'s movie vehicles would you guys like to see? I\'ve seen Scooby-Doo and Jurassic Park mentioned so what other ideas do you all have? Although I KNOW THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN, I personally would like to see \"Christine\" 1958 Plymouth Fury from the Christine horror film from 1983. I think it would be a cool way to get a vintage car and an opportunity to design a new psycho fembot haha.

If we're willing to accept JP T. Rex for Kingdom Megatron why not King kong from Primal?

That works too! Also if they could also make the JP Raptors out of Kingdom Dinobot.

Oh man I can't believe I didn't think of that! I'd be so down for a King Kong repaint out of Kingdom Primal along with also a V-Rex repaint/retool out of Kingdom BW Megatron!

You are probably right, but I wonder if getting permission to do a one-off is less complicated?

The final issue doesn't come out till the 30th, so we probably won't get a preview until the week before.

its not about permission. Those kind of things are million dollar deals. It’s not a “okay you can do this” deal it’s how much are you willing to pay for making this?”

Such a missed opportunity to say "you better BEE-lieve it!" If only they had a time machine to go back and fix that.

While true, as far as I'm aware, WB has a side deal with Storm Collectibles and some others.

I don't know the specifics of the deal but in today's market it seems likely a deal could be struck if it's higher pricepoint (above $30) and retailer/online exclusive.

Spinmasters and McFarlane don't have the rivalry with Hasbro that Mattel does and Mattel in particular has a reputation for being bureaucratic and a bit persnickety. McFarlane is the one whose toes would be getting stepped on. He's outright said that as his company is privately held, he's willing to break even or lose a little money to make things he thinks are cool. I think he'd step aside for a cool one off, honestly.

I kind of figure an 89 Batmobile would be a heavy retool of Siege Springer. So that's probably a $40-50 figure. Maybe go all in and include an 89 Batwing that acts as a backpack or hoverboard. You're looking at a $60-70 figure there with licensing fees. At that point, Hasbro's not competing with ANYBODY.

The 30th? That's weird, IDW's webite or Comixology told me the 23th. Could've been me then since the wait feels longer than usual.

Could have been a delay, as Comixology says the 30th while other websites still say the 23rd.
