Hey guys, a lot happened between the time I posted the fat quarters and today. I haven't done much embroidery or drawing as I had wanted. But, life is just stressful right now, so just trying to take it slow. Wished it wasn't the case, but I hope to update soon.
Aww, thanks so much guys! This really does mean a lot to me! I really appreciate your patience with my technology mishap, I hope not to keep you all waiting again. Update time! This is the current progress for Chromium, mostly got a majority of his colors done, but will keep working on it as much as I can now that I'm caught up on things. Got most of the beads I need for his throne, and I hope they'll be enough of them. This thread has now hit 1k views and I'm excited that my work managed to garner up this much attention! Also I found old pictures I took of my favorite Transformers character that I hope to post later depending on if this'll be a good place to do so. Also will work on Viper's Vengeance soon too.
Also there was another project that I made as well after learning about the concept of beaded embroidery. This was my result. I wished I could show you a video of it under the sunlight, but files don't want to cooperate.
Chromium is coming along nicely. That blue really pops on him and jumps off the screen. That Beaded Matrix is also killer. Nice work on all this stuff.
Short update this time: Almost done with Chromium's upper torso, I hope to focus more on the rest of his body once that's done with. Shouldn't take too long till I can get the rest of him done. Then the throne, which will take some time... I'm thinking of recording myself working on my piece, but am a bit shy. I'm thinking of starting other projects alongside this fellow, as none of my other hoops are being used right now. Probably more simple concept due to their smaller sizes. I need to get more hoops of Chromium's size, as I think that's the perfect size for extravagant details. The other image is a concept art of a character I drew that I hope to embroider as well. I did find threads for her, I just need to figure out the rest of the design. This is Hydrangea!
This is the most creative expression of any fan I have ever seen. Customs impress me, and fan art is wonderful, but this floored me. Kudos, this is great work. Chromium is really cool Also, has anyone made the threadiest thread ever joke yet? No? Okay, cool. I'll think of something. Don't worry, definitely not stringing anyone along here...
Wow! That must take a lotta work and skill. I can't sew a straight stitch to save my own life. Can't wait to see that one done.
Hahah, that put me in stitches! Not much to update on embroidery, however, I did draw two concepts for embroidery ideas. I am hoping to get all of my hoops ready, so I'm getting to work on my drawing skills. I've posted them to my Instagram account, but will post all the six drawings once I complete them here and I'll see if I can host a poll on which piece to start with. Thanks so much for the new posts everyone, that really has been making my week a lot more happier, even with all the stress going on in my life.
Getting closer to completing this, its been a lot of work, but its paying off. Its not as identical to my concept drawing, but I'm happy with this. I hope everyone is having a good day, as I am planning out more ideas on what to craft next since I've got all my hoops nearby.
So, I've been busy with life, but I did pick up these items that I'm hoping to use for my embroidery soon. Am going to draw a lot more now that I have additional sketchpads. Will also get back to updating Chromium when I can. Also got some colored pencils, but need to get the right sharpener for them. Hopefully I'll get it next week. For now, time to start daydreaming my ideas.
You've certainly made quite a bit of progress, which by the way, looks really good. He bears a striking resemblance to Armada Megatron as well. Was that intentional?
