I hate the Crash Bandicoot games. One of the most annoying platformers I've ever played. Its difficulty and how linear it was always annoyed me when I was a kid. I do like Crash Team racing however.

Spyro, SM 64, and Banjo Kazooie/Tooie are way better.

I even played the trilogy that came out a couple years ago. This showed me how poorly this game aged. Just a new annoying coat of paint to me.

I agree with this 110%. I don't know why the opinions of these out of touch individuals have suddenly become important these days and parroted by the masses ...as long as it lines up with their side of course. Their opinions are no more or less valid than anyone else's on the planet and I might actually argue that they could be considered less valid simply because they're usually formed by their out of touch with reality lifestyle/feelings rather than actual facts. I think it really flips back around to social media being a place where everyone gets to have their own pedestal for their opinions and pet projects/interests and it causes those who already had idol worship for these types ...trust me, idol worship has been around for years... to form a cult of personality around them.

I remember when he was just Batman's arch-nemesis..... not this edgy, worshipped attempt at a character.

That's offensive. To bathroom stall, since bathroom are useful to people and Twitter is not.

It seems like ever since the mass exodus of Tumblr all of shit just migrated to Twitter. I wish they would all just go back to their hole because Twitter is more of a public stage and nothing good has come from out it. Just people trying to ruin other peoples lives because they aren’t what they think is “okay”, and actually succeeding in doing so because on Twitter people notice.

Erin from the office is a useless character, and I dunno why they let her stay in the show. She served no real purpose, and the purpose they tried to have her serve (being a love interest for Andy) went nowhere and just created a Jim ripoff for her to be happy with, leaving Andy, a very well developed character who I really liked, a stupid mess of a character who had all of his development unwritten.

    My :2c: :

Thursdays are my favourite days. Wednesdays for me suck more than Mondays or Sundays. Tuesdays just suck, period. Friday and Saturday are the best but that’s kind of a popular sentiment TBH.

I’d like to add Instagram as an honorable mention. Both are unproductive wastes of time... that I still use

My unpopular opinion? All this talk on the “trashiness” of social media is kind of overblown. The easiness of sharing information social media has allowed people like us to achieve that didn’t exist just 20 years ago is a phenomenal feat of technology and I think to reject it all because some bad apples ruin the experience is overkill.

Don’t like what you see? Just unfollow, block, or mute. It’s that simple.

The beauty of how YOU get to control what you see in ways you can’t in real life is severely understated. If you have a douche of a friend in school harassing you, you can’t delete them from existence. You need to deal with school counselling or whatever that might get them to stop, but not completely mute them. OTOH if you have some troll with nothing good to do harassing you online, all it takes is a block to tell them to STFU and GTFO.

The problem with this is, for some people this is not an option. Nowadays there are jobs which the boss make you require to have a Facebook account to pick up your schedule or classes were a teacher requires you to follow them, like my younger brother's college classes which has resulted in him being forced to follow a person who post 60+ rants a day about a certain individual which will get this thread in a knot. The thing is, we're obviously both Canadian and my brother couldn't give a flying fuck about American politics but his class require him to follow that guy. A guy who, btw, has never been the to US nor does he talk with Americans, yet regularly vomit his insane opinions about US politics to his students. Its nice on paper to not engage with Facebook or Twitter but understand one does so in a vaccum, where the rest of the world is slavishly following whatever brand of socio political insanity on there. Not following it or, worse, actively despising and opposing it makes you a social pariah in an era where people have never been more connected.

I'm old enough in internet years to remember what it was like before even MySpace and I can safely say that social media platforms and the shitty corporations that profit the most from them absolutely ruined the internet.

Maybe they'll stop being a net negative to society when future generations take it all over and have the benefit of hindsight to run them better, but it's only going to get worse in the near to mid term.

I agree. The existence of social media is a great, and most of the problems related to social media existed well before the invention of social media.

In order to enjoy the experience more, I limit the amount of people I interact with or see on social media. Facebook is the only one I use regularly, and I've unfollowed the majority of people I'm friends with. My 'policy' is to allow anyone (who I recognize, at least) as a friend, but I'm only going to actively follow people who I have a somewhat close friendship with. And maybe a couple others who just post stuff I like. Otherwise it's just too overwhelming to sift through hundreds of people's stuff. I mean, in real-life you're not constantly being bombarded with that amount of content.

One of my social media unpopular opinions is that I feel like there's too much reposting/sharing. Especially of image macros with life advice and that sort of thing. Some of that is fine, but I really like to see stuff coming from individual people. I guess it's easier to just click "share" on someone else's post than actually type up a text post...but I wish more people would take the time to do that. I rarely post on social media myself, but when I do it's always something original I wrote myself (or a drawing I did or something). I rarely if ever share secondhand stuff, I just find that really boring and impersonal.
