The cartoon never did anything for me, but MASK did have some cool toys.

I wish Hasbro would make an arrangement with TT and port Diaclone Reboot over here.

Well, KB Toys, back when it was business bought what didn't sell of Max Steel wholesale from Hasbro. They would /not/ move. We had a buy one, get two free sale, and they still didn't sell. So, pretty bad. Personally? I liked the show, but Transformers is and always will be, my first love.

Hmmm,,,, no mention of a Younger Audiance themed Transformers show/toys/tie in media for 2021? I\'m not disppointed, because everything after Prime (RiD15, then Cyberverse), all went downhill anyway, but you would think they would want to keep some sort of relevancy with kids? I keep hearing how its the kids that purchase the majority of the TF toys, maybe that\'s not so true. If so, this will be the first time time in quite a while with no current show planned for General Audiences

    Original Series (1984-1987)
Original Series Reruns in syndication and on cable (1988-1995)
    G2 (1994-1995)
    BW (1996-2000)
    BM (1999-2001)
    RiD (2001-2002)
    Unicron Trilogy (2002-2005)
(2006-2007) -Our First extended time period with no TF on TV, although there was the 1st Live Action Film
    Animated (2008-2009)
    Prime (2010-2013)
    Rescue Bots (2012-2016)
    Rid15 (2015-2017)
    Cyberverse (2018-2020)
    RB Academy (2018-2020)
    2021 ??
Although clearing the slate is not a bad idea. They may have something planned for late 2021, but even so, we usually hear news of something forecast about a year in advance. I mean as an adult fan I\'m looking forward to parts 2&3 of the Netflix series, and the supposed Animated film down the line, but I\'m also curious for fans with younger kids, what will they have to look forward to? (mine are teenagers now, but Rescue Bots was great for them).

Micronauts tv series? That still hasn\'t aired yet? Suddenly I\'m feeling very outa the loop. I\'ve said it once and I\'ll say it again if they really want to do something new and interesting (for Hasbro standards at least) I reckon a cartoon like Justice Leage or Tales of Arcadia except with Hasbroverse properties has the potential to be very enjoyable. Or at the very least some sort of G1 Beast Wars crossover which actually seems like it might be happening although it\'s succes could vary depending on how they execute it.

I did hear a rumor. Cannot confirm at the moment. But groundwork is being laid for the next show. Boulder is once again involved. Several talent from Cyberverse are also involved. But the planning barely started. I wouldn't expect any content until 2022.

I'd love some MASK stuff. The toys were cool, and provided something different from Transformers. I'd love to see them do something that draws cues from the Human Alliance stuff, alongside the Takara Diaclone reboot, but a bit more present-day for the designs. I think there's a solid niche for that to exist alongside Transformers.

I think the fiction has to drive any sort of resurgence of this property, though, and the fiction has been sadly lacking for a long time. I'm glad to see Transformers get on Netflix. From my experience, if it's not on YouTube or Netflix (or for some kids, Disney+) it basically doesn't exist. They need to look at the fiction as their loss leader that helps them sell toys like they did in the 80's. WFC on Netflix is a good first step.

My ideal project would involve a step up in the quality of the writing for the series. Look at striking an A:TLA tone with them -kid-oriented, but anyone can enjoy the series.

What would I do if I were hired to be in charge of this on Hasbro's end? Why, I'm glad you asked! Personally, I think the problem with both MASK and GI Joe is that the day of enormous fucking plastic vehicles is done, done done. Plastic is too expensive, and it requires a cultural movement to drive sales of those big things, the kind we're not likely to see with things being so fragmented. To that end, I'd look at shrinking down MASK, and putting them in the same universe as Transformers fictionally. I'm thinking something along the lines for the FansProject Solerons for posability. MASK would be the humans that the Autobots shared tech with, really playing up the angle of the Autobots losing the battle for earth and their need to get some help. The toys would focus on masks and power armor, along with vehicles with lots of gimmicks to help them "keep up" with the Transformers. The play element would be armoring up and down, changing the vehicles between covert and battle mode. Sales-wise, they would provide options at the smaller price points as well as larger ones, a price point that often feels forced with the Transformers line.

Just a pipe dream, I know, but I think something like that would work well.

I'd be cool that if for the next main show they're doing for family section of Transformers it'd be something BW related to go along with how Hasbro's celebrating BW's 25th anniversary next year.

I really hope it's not true, because Cyberverse is so painfully boring and safe that does nothing particularly well. It's the 'kid' version of the Netflix show, or the 'kid' equivalent of the Machinima trilogy.

    Make something better, please.

I still think Cyberverse blows the Netflix show out of the water. Though in WFC's defense, it's only on its first season.

MASK feels like a B-movie ripoff of a better movie to me.

    Your mileage may vary.

I need to check out their press statement, but it didn’t seem like they have any new properties in the works. At least not from what I’m hearing from members here. I’d rather they come up with something new and fresh instead of trying to revive something like MASK.

Cool to finally see some progress on Micronauts. These "Hasbroverse" properties have been stuck in development so long that it's hard to get excited for them.

I was all about MASK as a kid but in retropect it was because of the toys really. The cartoon doesnt hold up and the recent IDW comic was awful.
