Arcee is a great action figure.

Her transformation is awkward. Her backpack is a silly shortcut.

But as an action figure, in hand, she's tremendously poseable. Moreso than almost any other modern Transformer I can think of aside from the Siege seeker. Moreso than the videos I've seen of R.E.D. series. You can get a lot of poses there.

I feel she was worth the $20 even owning the Legends Arcee.

 

Arcee is really great. Very expressive and looks perfect alongside Springer.

 

I had the same mindset too but TFSource burned me 2 months straight with Grapple.

A few things you could do IF you are ever in a situation like that. #1 - Use Google Translate. #2 Use AmazonJP or other Japanese website outlets. #3. Buy in the USA since 9 times outa 10 it's on this side too now a days. But before the epedemic it was always WAY cheaper getting it through Japan through their 30% discount pre-order option for TFs. Add in the exchange rate and you always make out.

 

#4 learn Japanese.

A more difficult one than the other three solutions but the one with more long time application

 

I mentioned the books to show that Amazon sites are not "siloed-off" from each other, and it's not just books that they share, either.

As for the exclusives that I mentioned, they weren't sold by 3P sellers, but by Amazon GK BUT I can't remember, for the life of me, what the exclusive(s) was/were, so my case isn't really strong at this stage.

 

I have one question, how can I shop from takara mall, living outside japan and not speaking even a tiny bit of japanese??

Ive never shopped takara mall myself but i have a feeling its not much different than premium bandai. You might need to find whats called a middleman. Basically it could be someone who happens to live in japan that you have mutual trust with or a business such as amiami, mandarake, and cs toys. I cant guarentee the name places have takara mall but its worth a shot to check out just in case.

Welp, fiddling around with Earthrise Arcee for the first time, and I can sadly say she's probably the worst figure I've gotten in a while. I mean, she LOOKS nice enough in robot mode, if you can forgive the enormous backpack. Headsculpt is great, and the sculpting and proportions on her torso are pretty good too.

But everything else is terrible. Her transformation, her balance, her floppy ankles (that'll only get worse over time), her engineering. The way she just sort of wads up under her car shell without enough room for everything, and without enough proper, satisfting places for things to peg into place. Even her weapon won't clip in on the vehicle mode for me (just needs nail polish, but come on, this shouldn't be rocket science...).

I hope that, with this toy and the MP coming out this year, we can close the book on the G1 Arcee design. She needs a design overhaul, to give her chunkier proportions that can better accommodate vehicle mode parts. Because this "smush skinny robot up under gigantic car shell" thing has gotten old.

Oh, I will say this nice thing about her: unlike Cliffjumper, I at least appreciate that she doesn't NEED to partsform to transform. That's nice, and makes the partsforming a lot more forgiveable.

Oh yeah that Centurion figure/amazing set of weapons bots accessories, I totally missed out on, bc it was in the 3 to 4 weeks I didn't have a phone or go online at all. Ugh Such an idiot! Such an awesome set! I hope it gets another run

I've probably missed this in conversation but when does Airwave come out in the US, if he hasn't already? My son was counting on him for his birthday but I can't find him anywhere, even though Walmart shows him in stock on their website.

 

Some retailers have started shipping online pre-orders on him (I received mine from Target recently), but others have delayed that wave until next month (namely Pulse). They've been spotted in store at Target, but by very few people - they're nowhere near hitting saturation at retail yet.

 

My airwave preorder from Amazon just shipped. I think Target has also been shipping him out over the last week or two. Still have not seen wave 2 in stores yet though.
