So I'm about three years late to the game on this one...

KFC Stratotanker




Like many KFC figures from that era, he's a bit loose... woth appendages becoming untabbed at the merest sideways glance.

And his extreme wingspan and backpack make the figure a bit unstable.

But, all and all... with a little patience, Stratotanker isn't half bad!



I really like the colour palette that KFC selected for this guy! The purples, the greys, the blacks, even the chalky slate tones!

That wingspan though... it's a bit much. I think the other S3 figures wish that they had hinges about midway down so they could be folded down a bit.

And so... three years late to the game... and another edition to the Decepticon S3 team.



I see that several people have already received their updated XTB Andras. Hopefully, I will see mine before October.

I almost bought that guy like a dozen times but every time I talked myself out of it. He looks almost good enough in bot mode but just not quite, and hit alt modes look too chug for my taste.

I tried to bring in more detail to your shot. I love your pics but they somehow come out extemely bright.

Context is EVERYTHING!! I guess perspective is everything else.

I think I'm like that with most releases. Very few speak to me like FT Thomas does.

But, he was on sale... and I don't know when I am going to see a better option... but when I do, it will probably be about $259.00 and from this company called FansToys.

I realise that the alt-modes are a bit on the small side (okay the 18 wheeler tanker is straight up tiny), but I dont think Stratotanker's look aligns with any of my Classics Hentai Universe Generations figures.



I think I saw a photo of Stratotanker's air-craft mode, and it looked bigger than Zeta's Silver Arrow (speaking of alt-mode CHUG aesthetics).

I might look into purchasing/applying some of the ToyHax reprolabels... I haven't decided.

I am not sure if it's the phone or the lighting... but I noticed that photos look different on my Surface-Pro, as compared to my phone.

I think I need some proper light diffusion. Then, it wouldn't look extremely bright in spots and extremely dark in other areas... and the shadows cast would be less prominent.

But, we all work with what we have!

For now I have a phone, some LED strip lights, and a grey liquor cabinet... and a piece of bristol, and a upsidedown drinking glass... to bring you...

And so today we learned that... well... I'm not sure what we learned.

Honestly, Fraudo is easily in my top three 3rd party MP figures that I've gotten this year. The alternate, smirking head just oozes so much personality. Honestly, the entire combaticon set is just all so stellar. Can't praise them enough.
