Yes, I was just wondering if it were likely that online stores would import these. The front page article seems to think so, but I don't remember seeing previous TakaraTomyMall "rereleases" like Skywarp showing up on BBTS or the like. Just wondering if I missed those and it is standard for online retailers to import these, or no.

Don't rely on bbts for Takara or Hasbro Asia imports, they're pretty unreliable as of late. Keep an eye on TheChosenPrime or TFSource as they do seem to import some figures (both were recently selling imports of Earthrise Bluestreak for example)

It\'s still odd that Amazon Japan isn\'t selling the previously Amazon-exclusive toys, IMO.

Amazon Japan deals with Takara for Transformers. Amazon elsewhere deals with Hasbro for Transformers. This can lead to very different outcomes in exclusives.

Amazon.com is not Amazon.co.jp. Region exclusives.

Except, if I remember rightly, Amazon Japan have carried some previous Amazon (US) exclusives. Also, although there might be some differences between the two, Amazon Japan carries products, such as books, that are sourced from Amazon US and UK, so there's some relationship, however tentative, between them.

Possibly, but it doesn't explain why Takara didn't do a deal with Amazon Japan, as I'm sure (but can't recall exactly) that Amazon Japan has sold previous Amazon (US) exclusives before.

I think BBTS has some sort of direct account with Hasbro that the other e-tailers don't have, that's part of why they couldn't really carry the seacons.

Just a heads-up to mods, the news article title incorrectly says "Ratchet and Ironide 2-pack" instead of "Prowl and Ironhide".

You are referring to Transformers, yes? So, why are you talking about books? LOL

Takara has their own store, yes? Why would they compete with their own by allowing exclusives on another store? You'd see regular ER stuff on Amazon JP, but not the ER EX ones.

If you see Amazon.com exclusives on AmazonJP, then they are more than likely 3rd party sellers.
