    Got my new "blurple" Sovereign. Like many on here, I'm torn! Both versions of Sovereign look so frickin' amazing, it's going to be really hard to choose one or the other.

    Ultimately, I think the "blurple" version looks a bit better than the "grape-purple" version. At the same time, as a *character*, I prefer the "total wackjob psychopath" version of Galvatron from season 3 of the cartoon (who was usually grape-purple) better than the "super badass baddie" version of Galvatron from the '86 movie (who was more "blurple").

    I think the mold works better as the '86 movie Galvatron. Sovereign just *looks* like a super badass more than a wackjob-psychopath. Maybe when Takara does an MP Galvatron, it will be more cartoony, and will better fit the personality of S3 Galvatron.

    So... I'm torn. But dang, both versions are great.

    The second batch is better because .... I am finally going to own one ;) 

    Either way, get 16M if you can. No one can beat that paint.

    I also hadn't realized that this guy has a waist bend.

    Exactly what I thought when I got M. The deciding factor was displaying it for a few days, then switching back to the original and realising how flat it looks in comparison.
    Couldn't go back to vanilla Sovereign after that (same thing happened with Quietus T as well).

    I'd say that DX9 Tyrant fits S3 Galvatron better, although it's not quite as good a figure as sovvy.

    Yeah, that generally implies people aren't frothing at the mouth to buy a figure this big/small at $300. People don't like bloated prices, deal with it.

    A new FT-16M just went for “only” $260 (+ $15 shipping) on eBay this afternoon. Sold by a US seller.

    So maybe the market has indeed cooled a bit.

    Re-issues shouldn’t even cost more. It’s the same exact figure. Not exactly any real reason to price it higher other than “eh these idiots will buy it regardless.”

    With the funky shipping situation from Asia right now, paying the additional amount to a US retailer and getting this guy reliably sooner was worth it for me.
