Got my Allicon from Amazon today, he's a little small and has a simple transformation but I'm glad to add him to my Quintesson shelf!

I don’t get why they didn’t go with a transformation similar to the one in the movie, it could have made the beast mode look better. Also he seems too short for the scaling they’re going for. Like Cliffjumper makes sense cause he is a minibot, but there’s no justiying how small Allicon is. He should have been around Impactor or Ironhides height.

Really? They didn't strike me as being particularly tall in the movie. Pretty sure they're shorter than Kup and Hot Rod, although the perspective of their one scene makes it hard to tell for certain.

Im not sure either but the size could have been tad bigger. I think the bigger letdown is the Beast mode. It’s baffling how the WFC line is supposed to cater to the accuracy of the G1 cartoons, yet went out if their way to make the croc mode look and transform differently, especially with them doing the 86 movie characters in Studio Series Next year.

I like it for what it is but it’s in the same tier as Titans Return Gnaw, just filler for something better. We’ve been getting multiple versions of the same characters lately so I don’t really see a problem with giving him a second go in Studio Series, for the sake of a Movie accurate Beast mode. He’s a troop builder anyways plus Wave 2 distribution might make it hard for people to get him as is so a second run could benefit from that.

He’s also getting released in the Netflix line, which means he will be featured in the show and relevant enough to get another figure, especially if G1 Allicon is supposed to be from a different continuity.

I think he looks pretty cool, and haven’t seen much new in forever in the wild. He’s on my list of things to look out for

Just got mine from Amazon and I'm pretty underwhelmed. I knew I wasn't going to care for the alt mode, but was hoping the bot mode would make up for it. The faux gator chest along with wearing most of the alt mode on his back bothers me way more than it should.

The size surprised me as well, but I guess it's accurate enough. I honestly like Corbot V's Mugger a good bit more, and it was nothing special either.

Overall I give the Alicon a D for effort. If you have to have an Alicon in your collection go for it, but honestly I'd pass.

I'm happy with my three. Even though...
    1. The tail blade falls out easy of the tail easily. 15994496508784667847659267107264.jpg
    2. I notice the purple hands have stress marks on the underside. I have a feeling they reworked them to open the hand hole up a little bit more to make inserting the spear easier. But due to that the tail blade doesn't stay in the hand hole very well. 15994496141123275216525080485504.jpg
    3. Wish the purple fist rotated back into the wrist instead of always being visible in croc mode. 15994495465006970910882988574127.jpg
    4. Looking straight at the beast face, you can't see the eyes. What kinda predator doesn't have forward vision? Just weird. No depth perception. 159944958419130052910943202612.jpg

Found 2 of these at retail in my country today and I must admit that I'm pretty pleased with the figure. I hope I get more...maybe 2-3 more than I'm done.

I didn't like the "official" alternate mode (looks like a robot alligator standing upright), so I bent the knee joints so it would look more, er "animalistic"...if I recall in the cartoon (movie), the legs were bent but in the reverse direction.

i think the tail piece is supposed to pivot like that. Mine does while also not actually having any risk of falling out.

this figure is all about having a representation of the ‘86 movie character. It definitely isn’t the most “fun” figure but it gets the job done and looks the part. My only gripe are the hands sticking out the back.

I rarely say this, but man, this figure needed to be a Voyager. Such a chunky design, with some really good articulation and a simple yet satisfying transformation. I can't help but wonder how awesome a larger figure would have been. The bulk would have been been perfect.

Just got mine. He delivers. The only thing that threw a wrench in my imagination was his alligator chest was actually on his back, but I can live with that. Allicon is basically the figure I've wanted since seeing the one in The Killing Jar (and unlike most people having a horde of these guys running around was not my first impression of him).

The only downside is there's no place to put his spear.

There's a tab on the back that the spear mounts on.

Which in practice is only slightly better than leaving it in his unused hand, but it is what it is I guess.

Could you post pics of that?

One thing I'm really curious about with this figure is how the beast mode could be manipulated to look a little better. I'm especially interested in how low to the ground he can go in beast mode. I don't like him standing upright and feel like Corbot Mugger does a lot better in that regard. But I like the size and some other elements of this new one too...

You can manipulate the leg and ankle joints to get him a lot lower to the ground, but the neck is static and prevents him from looking up for full gator-effect.
