The only reason I don't want the Hound mold to be Breakdown is because last year we got Hot Shot out of that mold. I think it would be redundant to take another non G1 character and give him the same mold again.

 

I'd totally love a Datsun Knockout to go with a space Jeep Breakdown. That is, if this is a WFC recolor. New molds would probably be best, but repaints that make sense are still good.

 

Knockout needs to be a new mold. His entire thing is his vanity about his appearance and yet his only original toy is hideous. He and Airachnid need updates the most of any Prime characters.

It's still hitting me that Prime is 10 years old, it feels like it ended a month ago.

 

Why does everyone keep thing he will be a car breakdown when in Prime he is a truck? We are looking at trailbreaker redco with a hammer fist extension.

Perhaps that would be the case, i sorta have a hunch this might contain some sort of new mold. Mosty because if they DO manage to make a new mold for this anniversary, it might open the floodgates of potential new molds to redeco/retool from.

And i have a feeling Hasbro might not wanna cheap out with this one.

 

That would be a real bummer. The weird arm flaps are fine for Trailbreaker and Hoist but Breakdown deserves better.

 

Yeah, but all the parts are there to make it easy. Even the accessory. Maybe they would do something different with the arm flaps.

I really liked the Prime series, but I actually hope these are repaints. It would be nice if there's some remolding.

 

They're not going to make a new mold for this. Since it's not likely to be the actual Breakdown, odds are pretty good it's going to be a repaint from something in WfC.

As we've already seen them do with the Diaclone and CDF type Selects.

 

I have to just simply give this a huge sigh. Given that it would likely be just a redeco, but hey, Construct-Bots homage. Of course it makes sense.

That would explain why none of the TF Tuesday figures weren't Detritus. Sure Breakdown should be bigger but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if it's a SIEGE Hound retool. But I'd still prefer that he was a retool of Hoist/Trailbreaker instead.

You know, Beast Wars got me into Transformers and Prime brought me back after years of only mild interest. Yes, I’m incredibly lucky to be a fan of the fandoms two favorite shows.

I’m wondering if Vehicon wasn’t thrown on there for Trademark purposes. They’re warming that trademark up for when they’re ready to redo the Beast Machines Vehicons.
