While I don't really understand the way you're using Prime in this scenario, I do agree that those excellent properties/shows/toylines deserve recognition. However, could this be part of Hasbro's master plan...? Prime is probably the least popular out of those, so maybe they've got some more tricks up their sleeves...

There are gonna be a lot of disappointed people if they're expecting the original voyager figure or a two-pack, given that the packaging makes it clear that it contains one deluxe figure.
Can they please do that with Animated Blackout?

    Cool cool.
What are we thinking, are they gonna:
    * break out the old molds
    * a western release of the UW War Breakdown and some kind of matching redeco for the Vehicon
    * or brand-new repaints/remolds of a WFC mold?

Either way I'm down, I've got the Takara version of Croc-Out and I'd like to complete my team.

So a Prime toy gets leaked and everyone takes the opportunity to complain about Unicron Trilogy and Animated? :rolleyes2  I mean, u guys should complain in general - to every unrelated post! :p

    "New Nemesis Prime revealed..."
"Thats ridiculous that Nemesis gets a toy but they missed the 10 yr anniversary of Animated!!!!!"

On Allspark someone suggested a redeco of ER Trailbreaker.

    That's most likely, imo.

Still, maybe it was all worth it... Just to hear people jealously complain about a crappy repaint of Prime, not Animated! :lol

There was a digibash with the Hound mold. I think that's more fitting for Breakdown just give him a proper cover up

Yeah hes right guys. On it definitely NOT being an arms micron War Breakdown 2011 mold. It's too expensive to produce those figures now. I mean it was too expensive to produce it then along with the 1st editions as well. It didn't help the line either that the first editions were not released at regular retail (besides TRU) like Hasbro planned. Mainly because of the higher cost. IIRC, the War Breakdown figure especially was molded with the 1st
editions, so it's a higher parts count & higher class figure, then even the "retail" Prime line. "Robots in Disguise" This was at the time of the reccession & action figures steel molds tripled in cost, aka production costs skyrocketed!

    However, what's UNIT-E?

Unit-E was a planned spin off show that deals with the new Special forces Ratchet at the end of TFP joined up with that also houses many of Hasbro's character from different brands like MASK,G.I.Joe etc. It was even planned to have an Autobot that homages Dinobot named fitting enough Chopperface.

    Wait a minute.

    Wait wait waaaaaaaait a MINUTE.

    War... Breakdown... Vehicon...

So a Vehicon... with the description of Breakdown, possibly meaning "belonging to"...

Could this be a toy of a Vehicon zombie from the episode "Thirst", complete with the funky mouth?! You'd just take the Prime Vehicon toy and give it a new head and maybe some scuffed-up paint apps. That would solve a LOT of questions/inconsistencies:

    -1 Deluxe mold
-Remold of an existing toy, so doesn't have to be a new mold
-Probably would use the Arms Micron stickers, especially if it's the Jet Vehicon mold, hence "labels"
-Even if you already have the entire Prime toyline, technically a new toy/character type you'd want to buy (and possibly multiples of)

People are assuming this a redeco because of the less-than-stellar packaging. (And that may very well be true, if my guess above is correct.) However, if Hasbro follows through with their "no plastic in packaging" thing starting next year, this could just be what smaller/exclusive toys (i.e., too small to be "open packaging" like some of the larger Cyberverse stuff) are packaged in normally starting next year. Hence why this may not be a low-budget redeco but actually a new mold (though again, if my new guess is correct, obviously that's not the case).

Production costs skyrocketing is essentially $1.85 going to $2. Steel molds never tripled in cost for anything. Over the past ten years, molds have actually gotten cheaper. More advanced CNC and 3D printing prototypes have drastically reduced errors in mold making. As parts can be tested before molds are made.

A mold that cost me $8500 in 2010 can be done for $6500 right now. Labor in Vietnam is significantly cheaper than China, which is still the largest component in piece cost.

The only thing that expanded is the cost of packaging and retail profit margins. Adding $.80 to the packaging allowed Hasbro to increase the retail by $6. All you are paying for after prices doubled in ten years is air.

The reissue of the $200 Millennium Falcon, which was massively overpriced before, for $400 is a perfect example. It might cost Hasbro 15% more to produce it now, but the retail priced doubled. But it has Hondo now, and some new recorded voice clips. So I guess that is worth $200.

The Arms Micron toy is called “War Breakdown”. The Unite Warriors one is called “Zombie War Breakdown”. Apparently they had trademark issues with the name at the time in Japan.

Time flies faster the older you get. A year when you're 8 years old is 1/8 of your life, but when you're 40 that's only 1/40 of your life. A year just doesn't feel as long as it used to.

My "Transformers Prime" memory is from 2012 - watching, with my wife, episodes that I had downloaded to her iPad, while she was stuck in a hospital bed for 2 weeks (forced bedrest at the end of her pregnancy). She was "fine" with watching since there wasn't much else to do anyway. Deluxe Prime Ratchet hung out on the fetal heart monitor to watch over her and our future daughter.

Fast forward, my daughter is now 8.

Sounds like you're overlooking the fact that many Prime fans hated this show when it was revealed on this Site. And no one really acknowledges this show today. Cyber-verse gets far more love than this show does. And despite how much I loathed PRIME, I never watched a single episode of RID. Especially since this thing was Sideswipe:

And NO! I don't want this line tied to upgraded G1 figures in 2025 either. Hasbro, feel free to keep it as it is if you even bother acknowledging it in 5 years...
