So far, I'd say this has been AEW's worst show. Sydal's botch, Darby looking like he landed bad during the bodybag spot, the Hardy match... I'm especially not liking the way they've had commentary try to justify the match continuing more than once.

The annoying thing is that if not for those problems, this would be a pretty good show. Match quality has been good overall.

EDIT: Forgot about JR's Lawler-esque wardrobe malfunction comment. Add that the list of negatives

I enjoyed the event as soon as the womens title match came on, thought it was solid after that.

But yeah sydals botch, darby possibly injured in the bag and hardys bad fall were a very poor start. All 3 accidents, but maybe they should take that as a cue to dial back the stunts and stick to more storytelling instead. Ill take a good promo over a high risk injury spot anyday.

Really pissed MJF isn’t Champion. Hopefully he interferes with the Mox/Archer title match and makes it No Contest

Also I know he’s gonna call cheat on Mox for breach of contract and using his finisher when it was clearly banned and demand an immediate rematch

Jericho said on his stream that Hardy was fine now, but did get knocked loopy for a bit.

I thought it was definitely AEW's weakest PPV so far and that it lacked that one next level match they usually have, but still a really enjoyable show outside of the issues.

Baker/Swole should have been in a cooldown slot instead of the main show opener, although I don't think it made much difference this time since the heat seemed to be supressing the crowd more then traditional burn out.

Good stuff from Bucks and Jurassic Express. I'm a bit meh on the latter for TV matches, but they always seem to step it up for PPV.

Battle Royale was good outside of Sydal going full Shockmaster, which probably would have been memed into oblivion by the end of the show if it wasn't for worse things taking the attention away. The Darby spot was too much though and I don't thing it was fair that the other guys had to work around the tacks that were left behind.

The whole Hardy thing was horrible and either the Doctor or Khan should have pulled the plug on that immediately and sent him strait the hospital. Nobody would have minded since it was very obvious how bad it was and they are more then capable of booking their way out of the stipulation later on.

Strong showing from the ladies title match, although I think Shida should have gotten a bit more offence in before winning. They've put Rosa over huge in the last few days and I can't imagine that this is last we've seen of her in AEW.

Dark Order vs Cody Revenge Squad was fun, Dustin still ridiculously good for his age and good setup at the end for whatever they are going to do next with Colt. Cringed at horny JR striking again on commentary though.

Really enjoyed the tag title match, all those guys are great at putting the fine detail into their matches and it all came together nicely. I think this would of been the magic match on the card if it wasn't for the fact that everybody in the building was melting.

Mimosa Mayhem was fun for what it was. AEW often does stuff that borders a bit on WCW/LOLTNA territory, but they have a knack for adding just the right amount of intentional absurdity and self awareness to actually make it work.

Main Event was good and MJF didn't look out of place at all at this level, he's definitely going to get the belt for real in the future and booking the ending to look like he could of won if he didn't decide to cheat was a good bit of protection.

Got to agree that they should dial back on the crazy spots in general. They don't need so much of that stuff now that they have built their audience and gotten allot of their people over, especially not when it's the quality booking and great promos that are actually the main draw of the show.

For the Hardy incident, you guys think it's possible Matt might've told the the doctors/officials he's Fine and to continue on with the match (Which he wasn't IMHO) as we all know Wrestlers always pride themselves to work hurt and toughen it up. It was crazy to see him even climb that beam to have Sammie pull off that spot.
Also what did JR say that's angered folks??

This is what Tony Khan says

UPDATE: AEW President Tony Khan has revealed that Hardy does not have a concussion. He writes, “An update on Matt Hardy: it’s great news! Matt’s ok, we sent him to the hospital as a precaution & he’s passed the MRI + CT scans, he doesn’t have a concussion, and he’s being driven home now. Matt will be at Dynamite on Wednesday night to thank you amazing fans for your support!”

I’m all for crazy stunts and wild spots in a match. But watching a dude skull slam on the concrete then see how out of it her was. Yeah that match should have been stopped. Let Sammy boast about how Hardy couldn’t handle him or whatever to get heat from it. But there is no reason that match should restarted after that.

Twitter is the worst for these types of reactions. What JR said really wasn't that big of a deal. A little cringey maybe, but not even close to the level of losing his job. Fuck these over-sensitive assholes.

After watching most of SummerSlam and all of All Out, I have to say that AEW put on the better show.

For SummerSlam, the Bayley/Asuka and Orton/McIntyre matches were the only ones that really stood out for me. Admittedly, I don't watch any of the WWE shows so that has some impact on my general lack of interest in most of their talent. Still, there was more flash than substance. The production is gorgeous. The product is boring.

For All Out, I thoroughly enjoyed Page & Omega/FTR, the battle royal, Shida/Thunder Rosa, MJF/Moxley, and even the ridiculously gimmicky Cassidy/Jericho matches.

FTR deserved the win. I love their style of wrestling and they definitely have that classic heel tag team vibe in spades. Combining them with Tully Blanchard was very smart.

I can't wait to see what they do with Page when they drop the alcoholic angle and don't have him tied down with the Elite connection. Dude could and should be a star.

MJF should be the future of the company. He put on what I think is the best match that Moxley's had so far in AEW.

I was not super excited about Shida winning over Nyla Rose to get the championship, but I'm happy to admit that I was wrong about her. Shida has impressed me with every match that I've seen so far.

As stupid as the mimosa match was, I give respect to Jericho for being willing to put over some of the younger talent. I honestly don't know that Cassidy can continue to be in a top spot, though. Dude's a popular mid-carder at best, I think.

Well just saw my first AEW ppv (this years all out). And Im disappointed. Last year I heard it was fucking fantastic so I caved in and bought it this year.

What stuck with me was that Hardy vs Sammy match. I find it pretty fucking stupid that they didn’t just stop the match, and I’m not buying the, “hardys fine he’ll be back next week”, bullshit.

But everything after that wasn’t too bad. Easy highlight of the night has to be the Moxley vs MJF match, that’s was epic. But this All Out wasn’t that spectacular tbh, and sure as hell no where near as good as last years All Out, but I’d put it over some of WWEs paper views.

I was finally happy to see McIntyre gave Orton the claymore. I was surprise to see Royce and Kay competing against each other. I wonder is Rey Mysterio's daughter going to be a future diva.

So they put the belt on Balor, which is good. Question now is. Who’s the next person in line. Looks like Cole is done with that for now. What’s next for these guys?

They dont know. The whole NXT pipeline was fucked up by the move to USA.

Part of why NXT was so fresh was that nobody was there more than a few yrs. They worked their way up to the top, have their big run, and leave.

Now...they stay. So they have to shuffle between the NA and NXT title races, find grudge matches, etc.... excuses for what to do next. The journey/arc of a rising star isnt the same anymore.

I wish the story of NXT stars moving up to the main roster was always a happy tale. Look what they did to Balor after he moved up. Sami Zayn. AOP. The Revival. Shinsuke Nakamura. Look what happened when they moved up. Had a little momentum then POOF. And let’s not forget about The Ascension and what Happened to them. I don’t blame the guys on there now for wanting to stay in NXT. It’s better then the alternative

True. But NXT was never stale BECAUSE they kept leaving. Nobody had a chance to get stale and someone else rises as the current high-level talents leave.

Look at Gargano. My all-time favorite NXT performer. Nothing he does, as of late, stands out. He's getting stale, even with a heel turn. Same with Adam Cole and Undisputed. The end of their "prophesy of gold" was the perfect moment to be called up before the act was played out.

The main roster may misuse them, but the constant cycle kept NXT solid.

NXT hasnt been what it used to be, since the USA move, and this is part of it
