Finally been able to add a new mainline Earthrise Deluxe to the Autobot shelf and it's WFC-E32 Bluestreak, bought from Robotkingdom.com Lovely looking robot mode, here he is on the left with his Walmart Siege version on the right. Very similar height. They can swap weapons, same size shoulder cannon slots albeit a little shallower on Earthrise Like Siege, there's some odd fold down pieces to enable him to attach weaponiser pieces to his feet THE TRANSFORMATION IS THE WORK OF THE DEVIL!!!!!! All but the arms ends up in the read third of the car! It all folds up into there so much so there's a big space between the arms at the front Car Modes Cars with Weapons Cars with Weapons Swapped Usual caveats on the photo quality, especially the first one as the light was v poor where I have my toys on display,
Glad to know the weapons are swappable, since the siege guns are more accurate to Smokescreen's classic ones. So is it true you can't swap the heads?
David Willis said in his review that he broke up the translucent hooks of the car roof/robot's back, so I think there are multiple parts to be wary of. I guess Prowl will have the same problem.
I mean, I appreciate the earth mode vehicle, and the accessories are nice, but otherwise, I'm just not seeing what makes him better than the Siege version. And Bluestreak was my first TF, so I'm a pretty easy sell on a new Streak figure. Just don't see myself buying another figure which looks so similar in robot mode, and the back of the alt mode looks a bit jarring.
This is honestly how I feel about most, if not all the Earth mode versions of characters we got in Siege. In the case of Megatron and Ironhide/Ratchet, I find their Siege counterparts to be superior. The Datsuns seem more of a step sideways than forward, but they still look good.
Easy solution. Just get two. One to keep in vehicle mode at all times and one to display in robot mode. In all seriousness I really hate the use of clear plastic, especially on the knees. Would’ve been a perfect figure if it weren’t for the clear plastic on really important joints.
Wow! Thanks for the pictures! This looks better than the Classics Bluestreak but I'm concerned with the clear parts...I need to think if I should get it...
Looks awesome! I'm glad I didn't get the Siege one. I only have Prowl and Barricade from Siege, and while I like that mold, the ER one is better. Plus it has those nice Datsun inspired lines!
