Oh Jesus, hope that gets fixed soon. Weekly preorders and you can’t access your savings, that must be a load of shit.

speaking of a load of shit...

Shattered glass Ratchet. Who’s in a two-pack with
    SHATTERED GLASS PRIME!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve wanted this bugger for months. And I won’t be buying him, because I don’t want Ratchet But With Bits of Purple. That’s the third version of this mold to come in a multipack, with no mainline release in sight. It’s even worse that they’re doing a goddamn shattered glass Ratchet, pretty much the last SG character anyone would think of when they think SG, instead of just doing the Marvel Ratchet we’re begging for. So basically, I’m whinging about something I won’t be buying, but I’d probably buy it if it was just SG Prime. I love that rotten bastard, but not enough to buy him and (what might as well be for me) a £20 paperweight.

Seriously guys, if you wanted to do SG van lads, should’ve gone for SG Ironhide. He’s a diaclone repaint too.

Never in my life did I think this would be an accurate statement. “Fucking raging” in reference to a man who buys stolen toys from an assembly line and reviews them, and it’s not even a lie. he’s a part of TFW2005 lore at this point.

That Soundwave has a good wiff of “Christmas sorted” coming off it.

My coneheads came to around £75 once the import tax was added onto it as well. About £60ish before that was added.

    Hashbrown no regrets.

Hashbrown is meant to be hashtag, but in Cobra Kai, Johnny doesn't know the internet and he said Hashbrown Team Cobra Kai. Then throw it into the internet. It amused greatly so now I use hashbrown instead of hashtag.

Somehow I managed to miss the second h in every hashbrown and hashtag I just wrote. That was something special.

@Gumblor Gimbles What puzzles me is Hasbro's seeming total allergy to doing full 'Toon or comic Ratchets...

It’s baffling that they refuse to do a simple comic redeco, but are happy to do an SG version. Just imagine telling a TF fan three years ago that in 2020 we’d be getting an SG Ratchet, but that Ratchet with a proper deco was completely out of the question. Even in general, we’re in a strange limbo world where Hasbro acknowledges SG but not Marvel G1.

At this rate, Hasbro could go full shameless and make ANOTHER Ratchet with the comic deco, or release an alternate head in an accessory pack, or in true Hasbro fashion, do none of the above!

What's the word of the day?
    IMG_20200908_223402.jpg

    BADASS!

I might give him the missile pods from the second skyhammer too, really deck this guy out with an arsenal since blackout is gonna use a pair of astrotrain guns. Was gonna say blackout was more surgical and grindor more destroy everything, but thinking about it, they were the other way around in the films. I'll decide when i get them in hand.

I do wonder if all these Van boys are coming in double packs because the extra parts make them too expensive to put out as a normal deluxe class figure, but they can’t justify selling them as a voyager class without including loads of extras.
I’d be happy to pay voyager price for an Ironhide or Ratchet that came packaged with enough extras.

Hey, would anyone here be interested in the Galactic Oddysey Lifeline by herself? I've got limited shelf-space and budget but really want to have a good Ratchet (or any Generations Ratchet, for that matter) in my collection.

If you decide not to grab the new Ratchet, I have the Takara Henkei Ratchet in my sales thread which is nice! ;) :p

And talking of the new Ratchet and Ironhide moulds, as their feet are not hidden away in transformation, they just kinda hang off the back of the van - I'm surprised none of these illustrious 3rd Party add on companies haven't come up with (or stolen from Shapeways!) a set of replacement feet that blend in a little better PLUS adds a little more height as well? o_O

If I can't have my collapsing-leg-into-hollow-void then surely some replacement feet to make up for it? :p :D

We'll see, although I'm leaning more to ER but it depends on my situation closer to the 3nd of the year...

My theory is exactly that they aren't quite Voyager pricepoint, as I reckon they could ditch all the hollow bits used to boost the Vanlads to tall deluxe with the same shield roof and gun would be your "Full" Voyager, and that inbetweeness has led to their 2-pack fate.
Shame they didn't bung the Siege Ratchet weapon in with 'em for their sleds and a pair o' pistols each to boot to pad 'em out to full but Hasbro do seem to have a definite plan with their alloted slots, as I've said before my guess is "a van" isn't a "sexy" enough alt mode for the pricepoint to them.

One of those gap filling producers should definitely go for some decent colour matching with the amount of fucking van lads we're getting. The Siege sets for Ironhide and Ratchet were gash.

Yeah, fings crossed someone makes a run at some proper injection moulded plugs, eh? The 3D printed gear is at best functional but sturdy and colour-matching it is not!
If I may say so myself, I'm pretty handy with a lick o' paint but the Ratchet Studio Ratchet set was a ballache to paint, what with white being even the greatest painters' nemesis, and I am well below that tier!

Saw Hasbro Pulse's SG set post on FB and felt compelled to comment:
And it suddenly occurred to me, they're gonna hold it back for a Kingdom Selects Box set aren't they? The Branleurs!

Wasn't it a Marvel guy who wrote the backstories as we know them?

    Possible possibilities...

Legal nightmare of fused old ownership with new? Even before Disney?

Keeping it in reserve, maybe even as a way of dusting off the MPs again? Anniversary line?

How much crossover was there between the international comic teams/versions/whatever?

Some sort of trademark wankery they don't fancy paying for?

Dunno, best guesses when I should be in bed!

I'm likely gonna wait until the weekend before I start snapping them but goddamn are these Ocular Max Combaticons fantastic. I'm no fan of the high emphasis on cartoon aesthetic (glad the option to switch up Bruticus is there should you want to pay the extra) and Blast Off is a weird looking fucker in a neutral pose, but that goes out of the window with what's been achieved in terms of presenting such well engineered and enjoyable toys. Plus it's the Combaticons, innit. Open secret that they have ex-Takara/Hasbro onboard? Bloody well done either way. Should have Brawl in hand tomorrow.

Just realised how many set of Combaticons I have collated, too. Fucking hell that's sobering.

Never really looked into these, but now I'm aware that there is a Ravage that turns into a Jaguar and that's just brilliant.

Hmm, can never have too many Ultra Magnusususeses.

That Devestator is always catching my eye on eBay. Combiners is one thing my collection is definitely short on. I have 4/5ths of an Orthia and 3/5ths of an Abominus and that's it.

I'd been meaning to look at Peru Kill properly for ages. Just watched a video and I'm convinced there's witchcraft involved.

    I may just do that!

I definitely want some form of MP10 in my collection, because, well, it's MP10.

Lots of votes for Wheeljack. May have to investigate further. Helps that it's a character I really like.

    Thanks for all the replies!

Welp, that probably explains the 'mystery' pre-orders going up on Star Action Figures and IDToys later today that they apparently can't talk about. Good to know, I don't want to miss out on this one.
