Hasbro doing more lines like Kingdom where it's a mixture of many eras is the best direction they can take and at this point they'll have to. With us getting plenty of near definitive takes on classic 84-87 G1 characters already there's no point of revisiting them for a while anyway.

 

Honestly, that's why I get a bit dumbfounded when nearsighted fans complain about too much G1. Firstly, They are doing definitive takes on these characters, do they thing Combiner Wars was there definitive take? Secondly, outside of the odd '88-'89 guy, I don't see Hasbro returning to G1 for AT THE VERY LEAST 5 years, if not a decade. Enjoy G1 while we still have it, cause I think the GenerationS line is gonna live up to that s.

 

I'll be honest- I have very little interest in Beast Wars or Unicron Trilogy characters. But if they are doing a Commander Tidal Wave- the very first aircraft for that aircraft carrier bloody better well be Needlenose!

 

Actually... According to the rumors, Tidal Wave is in the cards as a Titan class.

Everybody remember the Fox series Sliders? How about a trilogy that's Sliders, but with Transformers, where the core characters are traveling around to parallel worlds trying to get home? One year they're in the Unicron Trilogy, one year they're in Shattered Glass (why, yes, I did just think of this today... why do you ask?). This way they continue to do the core G1 characters, who are the main characters in the story, and branch out into other continuities at the same time.

And what about this: one year they bring back rubsigns and do Reveal the Shield the way it should have been done, where you really don't know what faction the toy you're buying belongs to?

according to phamduc we're are getting titan tidal wave and commander magnaboss while the ark is something separate. apollux said according to his info this doesn't seem to be the case however phamduc has been fairly accurate such as leaking that blackarachnia would include their toy face and teasing today's sg ratchet prior to seeing photos/videos of either. the most likely explanation is that magnaboss and tidalwave were planned for kingdom but ultimately were moved to the next line and the ark was made into a titan, perhaps hasbro oringally wanted a haslab ark that somewhat scaled with chug but then changed their mind when they came up with core class which allowed them to have a titan ark which would scale with legends scale. it is interesting to note that multiple leakers have confirmed that the giant airwave on fasttrack's box is meant to be a tease for the next titan and that their alt mode is a aircraft carrier

edit: sg rachet tease was someone else but so far the info he gave of rattrap, blackarachnia, cheetor, and warpath ahead of time have been accurate

Awesome at it'd be to see a Commander Class Magnaboss and Titan Class Tidal Wave it feels more likely that we'll be getting a Commander Class Rodimus Prime and Titan Class Ark to go along with both the 86 TF movie's 35th anniversary and BW's 25th anniversary. But then again I thought that WFC3 will only be centered on the 86 TF movie and nothing else but Kingdom came along and proved me wrong so who knows? I could be wrong again.

 

I thought so in the great Kingdom leak. Also, Commander class for him makes no sense as It would be a voyager with a trailer... Just like leader class Optimus.

Also, you are spot on about our leak info. If the ark is a slapdash for the next titan, I really wonder what the commander will be.

 

I'm not sure about rodimus, leakers claim he's leader and the only real thing that points to him being commander is that it's hard to belive that hasbro will give us 5 unique leaders in one line.

I believe the only knowledge we have of the commander is that it's an Autobot, not bw, and that apollux said he was disappointed with the choice.

 

Yes, I remember now, it was another Autobot from G1. I reread the ER threads, the whole Commander Class Rodimus was just speculation. Also, it would be quite easy to get 5 leaders, there are 3 waves with One repacks. Also, I think they would pull an ER Prime and rerelease one or two of the molds in a cheaper form.

 

I had previously typed this out in my own thread, called "Transformers Generations Sub-line Speculation And What You Think They Should Do", but it was closed due to it being similar to this thread. That thread was designed so that people could talk about sub-lines even after the sub-line after the WFC Trilogy AND say what they think Hasbro and TakaraTomy should do next. Here was my thread starter.

"This thread is designed for us to speculate what the next subline of Generations is going to be (after the WFC Trilogy is over) and what you think they should do (not a wishlist of characters they should do, just what you think that the next sub-line should be about).
I say they should take a break from G1 and the Michael Bay movies in Generations. They have so many other continuities that are kind of being left in the dust. To list them off, they have Beast Wars and its MANY sequels and spinoffs (Machine Wars, Beast Machines, Beast Wars II, Beast Wars Neo, Beast Wars Metals, and Beast Wars Returns), Robots In Disguise 2001/Car Robots, the Unicron Trilogy of Armada, Energon, and Cybertron, Animated, the Aligned Continuity (including the War For Cybertron/Fall of Cybertron series of video games, Transformers Prime, Transformers Rescue Bots, and Transformers Robots in Disguise 2015), Transformers: Go-Bots, Shattered Glass, TransTech, and finally all of the previous entries before Generations. Look at the Classics, Henkei! Henkei!, and Universe toy-lines, the Alternators, War Within, etc. And if they stay in G1, why stick to the original cartoon? G1 has way more than just the original cartoon. Look at G2 and especially all the Japanese toy-lines. They could easily remold some Titan Masters and turn them into the Brainmasters.

I mean, some of the characters DESPERATELY need new toys.

Heck, due to the WFC Trilogy having the gimmick of Transformers that become weapons combining with other Transformers that become weapons and other weapons to become bigger weapons, re-releasing the Power Core Combiners Mini-Cons and the Japanese Transformers Prime Arms Microns and their partners in the WFC Trilogy would just make sense.

Seriously, the original G1 Cartoon Characters and the Bayverse characters have way too many toys at the moment. They should take a break from G1 and pass the torch, temporarily at least, to any of the other Transformers franchises that are currently sitting in their vaults, collecting dust and Cosmic Rust.

Warning: This next paragraph is a rant about the threads that I create being closed or merged with other threads. Please be advised.
I keep on trying to create threads all my own, but then, because the thoughts/ideas for the thread either sound or are so similar to another thread, it gets closed. I absolutely have the HATE PLAGUE for it. If they keep deciding that because my thread sounds so similar to another person's thread that it should be closed, it makes it really hard for me to make my own thread. I have been needing to put my ideas for gimmicks/Transformers into the Creative Discussion Category in order to get the satisfaction of making a thread to call my own. Heck, sometimes, the thread they said sounded similar to my thread didn't even have the same point as my thread. My "Wishlist" threads keep on being closed or merged into Kind of a dumb idea, but it would be cool if they made..... I want to make a wishlist thread, not a "Kind of a dumb idea" thread. It is a wishlist. UGH. Plus, how am I supposed to figure out what counts as part of any of these threads? I didn't even know about this thread existing when I made my thread starter". Plus, even after I have heard of "Kind of a dumb idea, but it would be cool if they made..." and have posted posts on it, they keep doing it to my wishlist threads. It is just ANNOYING. It is more annoying than how G1 Starscream is to G1 Megatron.
Anyways, that rant was just to let of some steam. I needed that after yet ANOTHER thread gets closed for it sounding similar to another thread or is like a thread that already exists which I didn't know of.
