I'm neutral on SG. Always loved the SG Prime deco though. Ratchet. . .meh. Would have prefered something unique that could be repurposed like a SG Sideswipe or Wheeljack.

This was leaked to me weeks ago. I just didn't believe it at the time.

 

Ratchet looks like an arctic-themed icecream truck.

 

From what I've been told by a buddy that does manufacturing, the plastic on the trailer is a different kind of plastic than the same colored parts on prime, so it's likely Warden wasn't being entirely truthful when he said that Prime's parts were molded with the trailer

Well, we can’t all be that connected.

 

Sg prime isn't bad but that deco on ratchet...yikes.

 

I can’t see nightbird. I think if anything I would love to see barricade or Soundwave.

 

Keep in mind it's 2nd hand info, but it's from someone that does upgrades, so he knows his plastic types

 

The spoiler pack trailer will go great with this optimus.

 

I could also see Treadshot too. Or Micromasters Rumbler from Groundshock & SG Roller from Growl.

 

I still can’t get over the fact that before today it would have cost you somewhere between $400-$700 to get the official versions of these characters... or alternatively tons of hours of customization time. And now you can get both of them for fifty bucks.

I know SG isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (or it’s barely anyone’s cup of tea), but this set still feels like a big deal to me. And for the handful of us who DO still like SG, I hope this means more easily-obtainable official products come along in the future.

 

Regarding about GS SG OP and Ratchet.

Will the FP guys mind that? Or HasTak completely bought out their rights?

 

I have little knowledge of Shattered Glass - doesn't seem like it would be my thing - but that deco on ER Optimus does look pretty cool. Not crazy about what they did with Ratchet though. This set is a pass for me, but it's good to see it coming for those who like Shattered Glass.

 

Nice set.  A more affordable figures compared to the originals, but they are really milking these molds.  You can practically make an army of Optimus\' now.  

 

FP has no rights to anything. Their license expired and even then it didn't matter. When they did the classics coneheads, Hastak put theirs out like a year and half layer it i remember correctly
