Yeah I think they revealed that there's going to be a IDW Shattered Glass series with the reveal of these figures.

I hope this means an Actionmaster/SG deco of Thundercracker is coming.

But jokes, even April Fool's jokes, are supposed to be funny.

Our reliable sources admit to knowing little to nothing on Kingdom selects but we do know Galvatron is getting "several repaints"

I preordered it because Ive always wanted some SG figures at an affordable price. Id love to see more. The only negative I have here is that we got a redeco for Optimus and Ratchet so soon off of the last redecos of those figures (Nemesis Prime/Dead Prime and Amazon Ratchet). Still cool. Im getting Nemesis Prime too, so I may change my mind on this and cancel my preorder if I feel like I have too many Primes before this ships in February lol.

That’s what I’m wondering. As far as I can tell, IDW didn’t have a hand in any of the SG comics, unless you count a Piece of cover art drawn by Don Figueroa.

Nice deco, althought I'm finding Hasbro's new and exciting avenues to deny people the ER OP mold under 50$ kind of funny.

    WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DUWANG!!!

I\'ve never gotten a shattered glass figure before due to the normally exclusivity of them, but i definitely jumped on these, i just love ER optimus too much, shame they didn\'t use it for nemesis, I\'ve got the original, alternate universe, the netflix on pre order, and now shattered glass on pre order, I\'ll still take a Nemesis and or a nova prime, heck even an \"ultra Magnus\" i just love this mold

No, I was commenting on the sheer number of them compared to mainline figures. I'm not sure why my opinion on this bothers you so much that you feel the need to keep commenting and saying the same thing over and over but it's really not that big of a deal to me.

Possibly. An equally likely possibility is that they'll over-saturate the market during a time when people are losing their jobs and shopping less overall, leading to a loss in profits. I hope you're right though, I want to see the line healthy.

While I kind of like the SG Prime colours, the whole SG thing in general has never worked for me. As a one off it was fine, but the more we saw of the interminably dull fiction & the weird wiki-driven obsession with repurposing everything in sight, the more I came to hate it. Which is probably why I'm not even vaguely interested in this! If people like it though, I'm happy for them. If this sells well I expect we'll see a load more of them, since Hasbro will be only too happy to have more easy repaints.

This just reinforces my view that Selects (and the various box sets) really are just affordable Botcon exclusives. I can't say I'm unhappy with that.

Well, it would depend on what kind of a joke it is.

...like Toonami came back because of a Aprils Fools joke, but i guess the funny thing about it is that was not only entertaining and quite nostalgic, the punchline was surprisingly satisfying.

Shattered Glass on the other hand? It just suffered from poor execution. And a lack of depth. And perhaps a bit of overuse? Honestly the punchline would be the thing needed better understanding of themes that just shallow depictions of characters.

I never expected to see anything Shattered Glass. As they're making SG Optimus, I would really love a Shattered Glass Megatron in the G2 tank paint job, from the upcoming Takara Battle Stars Megatron. While it's not his original paint scheme from Botcon, I feel it'd make a very nice matching set! Despite that wish, if anything else would be produced, I rather expect it to be a SG Soundwave from the new Netflix/Walmart line, after the Classics Soundblaster remold I'm hoping for.

I also semi-wonder how many more uses Hasbro plans to get out of the Earthrise Optimus figure. I'd reckon a G2 Optimus would be so very easy, unless they create a new soundbox for him, and it would go nicely with the new G2 Megatron. I half-imagine a Pepsi Prime as well.

Finally, the mention of IDW making Shattered Glass comics is interesting. I wonder if it was an error, which would be kind of typical, or, if they've accidentally let some news out early. They only time I recall IDW actually involved in Botcon stuff, outside of external distribution, was the Dawn of the Predacus comic.... which I wish had been simply left to FunPub's own team to write. If IDW would pick up the line, I wonder if they'd reboot it, or, pick up where FunPub left off. Either way, I hope for more of the Shattered Expectations style then the more gloomy serious tone of the Botcon script.

Finally, I hope this at least sells well enough to open the door for more obscure stuff along similar lines, as Selects keeps proving to have a longer reach for the impressively unexpected. I still want all the rest of the Pre-Beast Wars designs that Botcon showed so long ago, like Dinobot from Springer, etc, not to mention stuff like E-Hobby, Marvel Comics, ect.
