I think the last time '86 quotes worked for me was the names of some of the first series TF TCG (rip) cards. I Still Function is a pretty great card name.

They're really not that bad in person, especially compared to how they ended up looking in the Netflix show. Netflix Megs really needs to lay off the Botox.

Kinda-sorta unpopular opinion: Even with the oomphy backpack, I still Prefer MP-44's proportions and rounded-off edges over its Magic Square and Transform Element counterparts. The preference is not strong enough for me to buy it in the near future, but still. That being said, I'm surprised no one's tried to make a KO of him that not only omits the voice box, but also redesigns its backpack to be a little sleeker.

Hot Shot was nothing more than a placeholder for Bumblebee when Hasbro couldn't own his trademark name. He's never coming back, ever. At least not in another starring role. What Hot Shot was in UT has largely been repurposed and recycled for the modern day Bumblebee of Prime, Cyberverse, and the movies. It's time to move on and let it go.

Dare I say, the Beast Machines Maximals' designs are actually really freaking cool. Like, don't judge them by typical mecha metrics, but sort of by monster/kaiju standards. Admire them the way you would an organism. Think of an animal you think is cool, and what makes it cool. The Maximals kind of have that feel to me, not to mention their massive aesthetic departure is intristic to the whole show, given its theme. I'm rewatching Beast Machines right now and I've got a new-found appreciation for their design aesthetic.

"Just because what you say is true doesn't mean it's right."

I get people would feel alienated by BM, but I feel the same as you. They aren't what you expect from Transformers, but they are still interesting designs that mesh flesh and metal pretty well - the coolest have to be Optimus, Blackarachnia and Botanica ; Cheetor could have used a better bot mod of all Maximals though. If they had not been marketed as Transformers or a continuation of BW (I definitely get the latter) but as their own thing like "Cyber Beasts" or something, it would probably not receive as much criticism. Beside, the concept of half-organic Transformers was definitely worth exploring.

Ok so for an unpopular opinion I actually liked dark of the moon I know the continuity in the bay films is flimsy at best but I really enjoyed hearing Lenord Nemoy Take up another transformers voice.

Fred Tatasciore does the best Megatron voice IMO, Yes, I do like Frank Welker's portrayal of Megatron but Welker's Megatron isn't really threatening...I mean... it's not Big tough & scary, Fred Tatasciore gave Megatron a very cool voice In my opinion....

Say hi to Hotshot, star of Rescue Bots Academy, which has a total run of 104 episodes. He has like 10 toys on the shelves.

This is my unpopular transformers opinion, but I actually really like Movie devastator and the constructicons designs, Even though G1 devastator is very nostalgic to me, Movie devastator and them just look super different and unique from the other incarnations of the characters, I just wish they could've gotten proper development in the films rather than just be a bunch of snarling monsters

Not really. Sure his preliminary name was Bumblebee, but Hot Shot as a character is more like Hot Rod than Bumblebee, right down to how after his first major appearance, they just let him stagnate in later incarnations and never grow as a leader again, perpetually just a turbo-revvin' young punk. It's especially obvious when you watch Micron Legend and he's actually called Hot Rod.

I don't like them hiding from everyone but the government and a chosen few. I prefer when they're out and about and whatever alien race they're lending a hand to works together with them.

I agree with this. I understand the general idea of following the "Robots in Disguise" tagline and having them operate in secret, but it tends to be overly restrictive of the stories you can tell, and leads to rather frustrating levels of implausible coverups (looking at you, Transformers Prime). Being "Robots in Disguise" doesn't have to mean they're completely secret to the public, it just means they're robots disguised as everyday machines/vehicles/animals.

I wish we had an applause emoji.

You can't hide giant robots running amok and beating the crap outta each other in public anyway. The planet isn't collectively blind and deaf.

Somewhat related to that, I’m tired of seeing the military or government agencies get involved with Transformers. Like, yeah it makes sense that if robots came to Earth they would get involved, but it’s such a trotted concept at this point I want to see it rested for awhile.

It's especially weird considering that one of the alien tropes that was put into the public consciousness a couple of years before Transformers launched was that the government was evil because they wanted to capture the alien and dissect it for their nefarious purposes. Admittedly, it's a whole heck of a lot harder to capture a 10-ton, 20-foot tall robot than a 3-foot brown thing with a glowing finger, but the point stands.
