The upcoming Super Megatron mold would work really well for him, I think. I would be allllll over a 2-pack with that and SG Soundwave.

 

Yes that is the silver lining, nothing would stop me from getting Megatron. But the response to this thanks to silly Ratchet is not going to be good.

 

So will we have an SG Megs from the rumored kingdom Galvatron?...

 

Shattered glass is such a fun concept and it\'s a shame it\'s never really been explored more. I wouldn\'t mind a line of repaints/remolds centered around the idea or hell, make it a new toyline Kingdom or something, although I doubt that would be happening anytime soon.

 

Exactly. Star Trek did the mirrorverse better because not everyone is a direct 180 degree reverse of the normal version of that character. I loved that in DS9 when poor Rom tries to figure out the mirroverse logic ("Our Brunt is mean, so this Brunt is nice... but doesn't that mean since our Ezri is nice this Ezri should be evil?")  
In SG, it is so basic that I think the Terrorcons and Technobots are basically palette swaps of each other with the Terrorcons being smart and the Technobots being slavering beasts. Just... ugh.

 

I definitely would have liked another Seeker, but I like the whole SG concept. OK, I have zero clue of the actual fiction, but I've always loved the Earth-3, Mirror Mirror type flipped morality universes. Of course I'm not sure how that makes SGOP any different than Scourge or Nemesis.

Right now my WFC Primes look like Siege, ER, NF, and 35A vs TT Nemesis, NF Nemesis, and SGOP. Not sure which side Dead Prime will take.

 

Looks like the only one IDW published was 2016s Dawn of the Predacus, so yea, no Shattered Glass stuff.

 

I'm in the same boat. And I painted a SG Ratchet at the 2016 custom class, so I'm even covered there. Didn't stop me from ordering this set, though I kind of hate myself for it.

 

No, there have been 15 Earthrise redecos/retools in Selects and 12 retailer exclusives.

I'm not expecting new molds in Selections. I'm saying I wish they'd take some of that time and money and put it into a couple of extra mainline figures. Look at my post above, how about instead of the 15 figures in Selects and 12 retailer exclusives they did 10 Selects, 6 retailer exclusives, and 2 additional mainline figures? I can't imagine there's a huge market for 27 redecos/retools in the span of 12 months, but hey what do I know? I'm just a regular guy.

 

So that might mean IDW is working on a Shattered Glass series now, and this just revealed that.

 

This looks great and all but when are we getting Inferno? I might have missed it but I don't remember seeing anything about one down the line.

 

Selects is supposed to be 100% redecos though, and people bitched about redecos in the mainline, so now they're exclusives.

I've never had any Shattered glass figures before, so these are a first for me. Where's Earthrise Thrust?? Where's Delta Magnus??

Shattered Glass are the "Collectible Widgets" that game publishers put in their games to "add value" and artificially make the game longer. No one asked for them, they're pointless and tedious and only the OCD players who have an irrational need to get 100% completion will actually put up with them.

If only SG had color schemes I liked...

 

I guess these guys are must-haves for me, though I was hoping for something else. I did want an official Shattered Glass Optimus, so this works for me. Ratchet, I'm getting certain mixed feelings about. While I did want to get hold of the Siege/Earthrise figures of him, I wasn't expecting it to be the evil version.......Well, since they seem to like recolours of him, I'll be keeping an eye out for a Marvel repaint, too.


All other items on my wish list aside, I don't mind an opportunity start building up an official Shattered Glass collection. If this leads to more Shattered Glass toys, I'm in.SG Megatron? SG Soundwave? SG Ultra Magnus? I'll get 'em all. And we may yet get that blue (though evil) Bluestreak yet.
