    Yes,

Preorders are up on ShowZ. No indication of when this will be released and no prototype photos. What kind of idiot would preorder based on just a photo with no guarantees? What kind of desperate idiot?

    This idiot. This idiot would.

I’m thinking about going to Newage only for the future of my collecting. I finished SS Devastator and I got MP 44. I think it’s safe to call it quits on official stuff and just focus on NA. I own most of their figures. All I’m missing on current releases of molds are reflector, brawn set and insecticons. Just bought myself Reflector so technically I’m down to missing 2 of their molds. Soundwave and the Prime molds looks great.

So the retailers decide what Hasbro makes? Huh.

Guess I missed that part of the presentation!
("Hey guys! We know uv been wanting new BW, but we only recently convinced Walmart to let us do it! They r NOT BW fans, tho they like the Neo-BW continuity and...")

You know what? Im gonna go ahead and say retailers have little to nothing to do with what Hasbro makes, other than minimal guidelines in terms of retail shelf space.

I’m speaking in generalities. Walmart wants the brands and characters that Hasbro is licensed to manufacture as well as a certain number of exclusive items made available to them. Star Wars, Transformers, Marvel, etc. Within those subsets recognizable characters that will certainly sell.

Walmart isn’t requesting Netflix Siege Elita 1 or anything as specific as that.

And a digibash "template" for the core figure if you want to make your own:

Anybody else thinking the core bot splits at the waist or extends in some way?

Possibly. After all, ultra magnus' crotch wraps around his prime crotch. So how would the articulation work? If it connects to the front, does that mean the whole peice just moves with his front flap? Does it connect to the side skirts, and have 2 front flaps? Having it connect to the back is also greatly hindersome. Maybe his wais extends so it just clips around the middle, with the front flip, skits and back folding up to fill in the torso? Who knows

I’m happy with how the core figure looks. It looks like a Mini MP-44 Optimus lol

Is it bad that I trust New Age well enough not to care much about the Optimus mold but hope that the SG Optimus redeco will have a good trailer?

Most people probably have the same level of trust you have, but with other companies. Its natural to get set into your little spot of trusting after so much good.

Up for preorders on TF-Direct too. Since both NewAge and TFD have yet to disappoint me, I went for it immediately. Looking forward to the unavoidable Optimus too!

At the risk of sounding impatient, what's the usual turn-around time for Newage from render to release? I've not been this early to the party before.

Newage churn their figures out quite quickly, but don’t forget they still have to release their six different versions of Soundwave first. Assuming this is next in line (and not the Stunticons), then I’d probably expect it around December time.

I hope UM and OP release before their Stunticons. It shouldn't hurt NewAge's sales; pretty sure they'll still release all their Stunticons before Magic Square.
